Texan_Til_I_Die
Fred Thompson has officially withdrawn from the campaign for the Republican nomination. Look for a similar announcement from Huckabee in early February after Super Tuesday.
wtnhunt
Heard earlier he was going to make an announcement.
OJR
It didn't seem as if he really had his heart into this thing at all! The sooner the better if Huckabee drops out!

buckee
Huckabee for President. He'd have my vote, if I were American. I sure hope he doesn't drop out. That would be very disappointing.
Texan_Til_I_Die
It really comes down to the southern states and Super Tuesday for Huckabee. He needs to win several states to generate enough capital to continue. Without money, he can't win, and he can't get money without winning. Really simple politics. Dawg
No doubt, Huckabee needs to hang in there for sure. Hopefully he can make it. To bad for Fred, but I will agree, he didn't have his heart in it (or so it seemed).
Guest Andrea
Huckabee will drop out is what I'm hearing..........
wtnhunt
Huckabee is currently polling second nationally according to what I heard a while ago, not sure if he will be the next to go or not. Think it was last week that it was suggested that Giuliani will drop out if he does not win Florida. That would leave McCain and Romney:eek:
Dawg
Huckabee will drop out is what I'm hearing.......... I hope you have a hearing problem!!! Huckabee is currently polling second nationally according to what I heard a while ago, not sure if he will be the next to go or not. Think it was last week that it was suggested that Giuliani will drop out if he does not win Florida. That would leave McCain and Romney:eek: Giuliani has thrown everything he has into Florida, so he has no choice but to win or come in with a strong second place. I think even if he does have a strong second place, he still won't make it.
stevebeilgard
Huckabee for President. He'd have my vote, if I were American. I sure hope he doesn't drop out. That would be very disappointing. while huckabee would bring some excellent christian values to the white house, he's also quite liberal. he has a very poor record on releasing prisoners, raising taxes, etc. i'm hoping we see thompson supporting romney (another chirstian) and being his v.p. we need christian thinking conservatives in the white house, or the liberals will most certainly take over and ruin our country. Anything aside from a first in Florida for Giuliani and he will probably be forced to get out. Looking more and more like it is going to come down to Romney and McCain in the end.
