stringpicker
Wanted to get your guys opinion on this. Right now I am shooting a Easton Epic 340 with 100 gr. Montecs, with 4 inch feathers. Saw the Nocked and Loaded dvd and T-Bone talked alot about kinetic energy and I was wanting to see if you guys think that I have enough or do you think that I need more. I can change to a 125 gr. Montec which would be cheaper than getting new arrows, but I wanted your guys opinion. I'm shooting a Guardian at 70 lbs. Thanks! Straight Shooter
Need to know the arrow speed and weight to get the KE amount. From you set up at 70#; I'd be willing to bet you have plenty. You should be in the range of 55 to 67# of KE which is more than enough for any big game animal in the U.S. You go up in head weight you might make your setup under spined then you've got a new problem with bad arrow flight. PotashRLS
Momentum is a better inticator of an arrows penetration efficiency. Google it and Dr. Ashby. Great technical reading The heavier the better.
