stevebeilgard
in the polls. i sure hope he gets in, and has thompson as his running mate. the libs and news media is sure pushing hard for mccain, as they know mccain will lose in the election. conservatives are just tired of voting for the "best alternative". and i'm one. i don't want a liberal republican like mccain. fact is, i don't know the difference between a big spending liberal democrat, and a big spending liberal republican, like bush & mccain. wtnhunt
Romney's support certainly does seem to be growing. the libs and news media is sure pushing hard for mccain, as they know mccain will lose in the election. Dont know Steve, fox posted some interesting polling numbers yesterday that suggested a Hillary McCain matchup would have McCain coming out on top, but Obama and McCain are a dead even draw. Texan_Til_I_Die
...i don't know the difference between a big spending liberal democrat, and a big spending liberal republican, like bush & mccain. Domestically, there's not much. The big difference lies in their approach to foreign policy, especially in the area of national defense. Give me a liberal Republican any day over a liberal Democrat. Of course my first choice will always be the more conservative (or less liberal as the case may be) candidate.

JJL
I've been pulling for Mitt from the start. McCain-Huckabee-Clinton-Edwards-Guiliani.............they're all the same...............LIBERALS. Romney has a few gun issues that I don't agree with, The NRA will have to get to work for a change and start spending a little wiser.........they can handle it. Immigration-Economics-National Security- Ethics- Morals- and the willingness to UPHOLD the Constitution instead of Changing it.....................I'm going with Mitt Romney. The USA needs a LEADER not another Politician. I'm JJL and I approve of this message.
johnf
I think Romney has everyone fooled. Just like Klinton, he as moved to the right to make himself more electable. I would take Huckabee, Thompson or even Ron Paul any day over Romney. He's telling people what they want to here to get votes. Like them or not Huck, Paul and Thompson are at least honest. How on earth could you call Huckabee a lib?
JJL
How on earth could you call Huckabee a lib? Tax Tax Tax........Amnesty Amnesty Amnesty. He sure sounds like one.
johnf
Tax Tax Tax........Amnesty Amnesty Amnesty. He sure sounds like one. You're listening to Romney too much. My taxes went up a total of $45 a year under Huckabee. Who hoo. Arkansas went from having the worst roads in the south to have some pretty good ones and went from teachers being #49 to somewhere in the mid 30's in teacher pay. Some of those taxes we voted on, not him. When tax revenue went up higher than expected we all got a pretty hefty refund. I don't guess Romney told you that though. What about Romney real stance on gun control and abortion. He became a "Conservative" when he decided he wanted to be president. The vast majority of those pardons were for people who've been out of prison for 10-20 years so they could get jobs. What's wrong with someone making it easier to get a job after they've been a productive member of society for 10+ years with no criminal behavior and after already serving their debt to society. If we are to be a civilized society what is wrong with rewarding civility? I know several guys who have gone to college, got degrees and are working in chicken plants or factories making $9 an hour because they did something stupid when they were 18. I've got a friend I went to HS with that got caught selling Cocaine to a cop when he was 17. Yes that was stupid, wrong and illegal. He was a great guy, yes good people do stupid things sometimes, sometimes monumentally stupid. He can't get a job doing anything but unskilled labor and he has a business degree. What's wrong with someone cutting him some slack so he can pay some real taxes like the rest of us slick frat boys? Yep one guy did something horrible, and it's tragic. I'm cutting Huck some slack on that. At least he has the guts to admit he made a mistake, that's a lot more than I can say for most politicians. JJL
I believe that you missed my point. Both Huckabee and McCain oppose Federaql Tax cuts and admit that they would raise taxes in order to solve budget shortfalls.............Liberal thinking. Boths Huckabee and McCain are for granting AMNESTY to ILLEGAL ALIENS ...........EXTREME liberal thinking. The Illegal Alien issue is HUGE. It will affect this country for ever.I CANNOT AND WILL NOT vote for someone who wants to open up the borders. It's mindless. If you don't understand Huckabee's stance on immigration here's a little clip for you. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RighCn5UA7s
johnf
Boy that is taken so badly out of context it's not even funny. What his plan is, is to make them go back to mexico and get back in legally. Have you never listened to the whole thing he says or just the sound bites. Huckabee wants to get rid of the IRS. How is that raising taxes? I pray this kinda crap is not the only thing your paying attention to. Mitt Romney is a talking head saying what you want to hear
MCH
Amnesty is a sure fire way to get re-elected. Unfortunately, I don't foresee too many P-elects not pushing the button.
Guest Andrea
Florida primaries held today. Besides listening to and reading about the candidates I found this.... Take a look : http://www.2decide.com/table.htm
wtnhunt
According to that Romney supports the awb. Have to admit, I had not seen that elsewhere. Would have to wonder how accurate that is seeing as how it has a banner supporting McCain across the top:p.
Guest Andrea
I can promise you..........I did NOT vote for McCain.
wtnhunt
Here is a non biased site Andrea http://www.issues2000.org/Mitt_Romney.htm. Romney does in fact support the awb and Brady bill. Between him and McCain, really undecided on who would be better able to lead the country, but kind of think at this point despite his stance on gun control that I am leaning towards Romney. McCain has some issues, sometimes to me he seems like he is a bit out there.
Guest Andrea
Honestly..............I don't like either one. Romney has a major flaw and I won't vote for him. So it looks like not even using the "lesser of two evils" will work this time. Really stinks this election year...........
