Tominator
Blizzard of 1978 started. I remember it well. I think we missed about 4 days of school with that storm. http://www.ohiohistorycentral.org/entry.php?rec=1649 I'd like to see another storm like that someday. Texan_Til_I_Die
Wasn't that what inspired Jimmy Buffett to write that immortal verse They're freezing up in Buffalo stuck in their cars While I'm lying here beneath the moon and the stars

buckee
What about 77' 31 years ago, we had the Blizzard of '77' in Southern Ontario. It was a screamer. There's even been a book written about it. I was living in Niagara Falls, Ontario at the time http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_Lakes_Blizzard_of_1977 http://www.whitedeath.com/ Slideshow My buddy and I were on the Queen Elizabeth Highway at the time, and traffic just came to a stop. We were there a few hours, and the cars and trucks were buried. We finally just left the car where it was, and climbed a fence, to get to the closest house. Blizzard of 77' song

Straight Shooter
We had our blizzard here in NC in 1993, had 3 to 4 feet of snow and totally shut down this area for over a week. Ten foot snow banks on the side of the roads, it was awesome, I'd love to see another.

Nut
I remember it like it was yesterday.(It means I am old) I got off work at 3 am driving through at first rain and slush. My Mom woke me up at 11 am and told me I was not going to work that night. I did not get back to work for 4 days. The guys that ade it to work got stuck there for 2 days. My 71 Nova was buried in snow. It took me walking 2 miles and back to the store to get tire chains with my Dad. We got my car out and parked it a city block away on the only street plowed. It was over a month before I parked in front of my parents home. It was so cool. Not too many people whined about the snow back then.
