Tip of The Week

Re: Tip of The Week

Just to add something along this line, If you don't have a natural low spot in a fence line, you can make one by tieing the top two strands together and ultimately the deer will jump the fence at this low point. Of course you need to get the landowners permission and be sure that any live stock in the area that is fenced will not jump it also.

Be sure that you untie the fence at the end of the season.

Right on EIGHTPOINT .... That is one of my favourite methods of creating a deer trail. It works every time.

These blacktails would rather go through a fence than jump over it, except for the big bucks, so I tie the top to barbed wire strands together and the bottom two together (there's ussually 4 strands). It makes a perfect opening for the does and fawns to use and the bucks will cross there as well.

Thats it!!!! I am gonna errect barbed wire fencing everywhere in my woods then tie the top two rows to create a trail right to my backyard! Sounds like it will work anyways... LOL

I have heard this tip before and it is a good one for sure!

Unfortunately I have no fencing on my hujnting property. I hunt the funnels instead.
