codman
Just got my sample pack from whitetail institute, For my first year planting i think planting these test plots will be best. They can give me an idea what the deer like in my area. Also its not a bad price for 8.95 each packet does a 10'x10' area. I picked up a Burpee seed tray and planted one of each kind today to see how they stand up , even though its real early. Im bored haha! wtnhunt
Not sure 10X10 plots will be big enough for you to make any determinations as to what the deer will prefer.
zippyswamp
I agree, the sample packs are just that, sample packs, the deer will have them licked clean in one night. From what we have seen here in this part of WI the deer like all of their products. We tried some others over the years, and have not had near the results. Take my word, it is all good stuff. Born2Hunt
We made a garden of plots with our sample packets just to see what they looked like when the start to grow. It will help you identify plants from weeds. I can tell you that a few 10x10 plots will not feed deer like you hope though. Thats why we plant 25 acres of plots. Born2Hunt
Our extreme took a while also. If you want a good all round plot go with the chicory plus.
