Yep, I've used one that they kept up at Wayne Park until a few years ago when they found out the alternative lifestyle was using the parking lot and it's "facilities." Bleeehhhh!!! stevebeilgard
ojr and i are both in our 60's. i grew up in northern wisconsin with only an outhouse. and a hand pump on the sink. when i met a little girl in 1967, at her grandparents farm, they had only an outhouse and hand pump on the sink. must have been a good thing, because i fell in love and married her... we do have indoor plumbing now. Rhino
Yep...mostly a long time ago but the last time was on the only bear hunt I ever made in northern Maine. That was around the fall of 2000 if I remember correctly. We were hunting out of what they called the wilderness camp. No power or plumming there at all. There were 2 options...the outhouse or that indoor gas burning head. The outhouse was definately the better choice. I couldn't bare the thought of adding to an existing pile. I thought that gas burning head was going to blow up the 1st time the guy lit it. With the load boom it made when it finally lit, I expected the guys face to be full of it. MCH
Used one up until I was about 16. We had indoor plumbing, but my grandpa didn't like us using it that much.

Drop-time
Alright now were talkin!! We bought the farm (literally) about 10 years ago and it came with a fully operational side by side double dumper outhouse! Yep thats right I said double dumper..why you could set right next to your sweety and do your business!! It had a window, curtains, fresh paint the whole nine yards. It was seriously nicer than the house we have since fixed up. Almost hated to tear it down..no really it had to go..it was put right smack dab in the middle of our backyard. We were told our place didnt have indoor plumbing till 1972!!

Deb
Absolutely, have them at each of the leases we've had. Althou we've moved up in the world and sunk 55 gal. plastic drums with holes drilled in them, half filled with gravel and hooked up the trailer's tank to it. Mini septic system!!!! Of course, approved by the land owner!
oo_buck
Grandpa and Grandma's old house had a "two holer"...... Lot's of interesting conversations in there with family.....
Randyman
The house my Dad grew up in had a "two holer" out back. When we went home to visit Grandma, my Brother, Sister and i hated having to use it. We were convinced something was going to come out of there and get us! A few years back i lived in an old house that had a "two holer" tucked into one corner of the garage. My own Kids were scared to death of it! Thankfully, it had been out of service for years! Guest spurcollector
I sell construction equipment. I've never used a wooden one, but just today I was on a jobsite and I used one of those plastic port-o-john.
Guest Zirkel
Yup, Plenty of the Ranches I worked on as a kid had them and still do. Question: How many of you city people have ever used a two holer that was double occupied? Zirkel
