Dawg
I've eaten hog head cheese once............naaaassssttyyyy..... The guy told me it was souse or something like that, so I ate it and then he said, souse is another name for hog head cheese............ I ate turtle before, fried and in a soup. The soup was ok until we pulled the WHOLE tail out and that was pretty much the end of that meal. Back in March of last year the wife, kid and me took a trip up to Omaha. Ate some buffalo steak while I was there........it was alright but somebody needs to let ya'll up north know that there is a such thing as SEASONING!!!! Frog legs, gator, and squirrel are the norm around these parts.
Bowtech_archer07
Squirrel is definitley a common meal around here. Most types of game that are in IL i've eaten.. except duck and goose. Never hunted them.

Guest spurcollector
I have eaten frog legs more times than I can count. I'm trying to think of something weirder. I ate stuff like dirt and play dough as a kid. I'd try anything once. If I was around people eating doberman I'd at least taste it. I've eaten raccoon a few times, It's pretty good. I've never eaten rattlesnake, but only because I haven't had the opportunity.

MCH
Out of those mentioned so far, I've had frog legs, alligator, several types of snakes, squirrel(of course), and calf fries. Would try just about anything, though.

AaronS
Cow tongue....mmmmmm. My Grandma would make tongue sandwiches on her homemade bread with her homemade ketchup. Dang they were good. Turtle soup and fried turtle are awesome. Had pig brains when I was young. Didn't like it at all. My dad used to eat squirrel brains. Too much trouble for me to skin the head out so I never have.
