Huntress
Been tearing the timber up since November and season is almost over so I figured I'd post one of our tailgate shots. This is from the other night...me and several buddies went for a short hunt and killed 5 big coons and one small one and a great big fox squirrel. Dogs worked good and we had a blast. Thanks for looking, Marijane

toddyboman
That's what I thought. I was misled by the title Lots of people around here call coons ringtails.....but I would figure most do not know their is such a critter in TX and other places. I know I sure didn't until the pictures were posted.
buckee
That's kinda what I figured too. It's a fitting nickname for the coon, no doubt I just wasn't sure of the range of the true Ringtail, compared to the Bandit
Huntress
Ok, I'm lost...lol... We call coons ringtails...is there an animal that's actually called a ringtail? Here, I'll fix it... buckee
RINGTAIL Distribution in Texas. Statewide, but uncommon in lower Rio Grande and Coastal Plains of southern Texas. RACCOON :D
