HarvDog
A buddy of mine asked me to post something for him. He currently has a Traditions sidelock muzzleloader and wants to get an inline. He is interested in something that is accurate and easy to use. What recommendations do folks have? Also, he is curious about the differences between and pros and cons of stainless, nickle, and blue barrels. Thanks in advance.

[/ QUOTE ] It seems everybody is! Is price a factor? Does he need iron sights? There are no disadvantages to stainless steel barrels in muzzleloaders that I am aware of. WABS
Re: Inline ML - Stainless, Nickle, Blue I've had a BD .50 cal for about 5 years now and I wouldn't trade it. My brothers have purchased higher cost Encore and Omega MLs in an attempt to match my accuracy -- didn't work.

He hasn't mentioned anything about sights but my guess it that he would go with a scope. Hope this helps. Thanks for the suggestions and comments. Guest bowhunter56
Re: Inline ML - Stainless, Nickle, Blue i just bought a cva optima, .50 cal, put a 3x9 on it, gun was $179.00 shoots great and cleans easy, but most would say the t/c omega is #1, then the knight, cva, traditions, etc.

MadHuntinPastor
Re: Inline ML - Stainless, Nickle, Blue Thanks Gentlemen!! I think you convinced me to look into the T/C BD. Cabela's is sold out, but Gander Mountain still has some discounted ones.
