What Hunting Game???

Deer Hunter 2005 and Deer Hunter 2004 are two of the best online multiplayer hunting games. I have and play both. I've made custom maps for both, too. I even have an expansion pack that someone made for Deer Hunter 2004 that adds albino, piebald, and melanistic blacktails, whitetails, mule deer, and several new weapons including a buck knife even (Buckee I think he must read your story and got the idea. :p).

I also play Trophy Hunter 2003, which is one of the best "big game" online multiplayer hunting games. I've made custom maps for this game, too in the past. Nothing like hunting with a friend for brown bears and having one sneak up and try to kill you and both of you have to fight it off or die trying. I'm sure Tom2008 can remember several hunting trips in this game where the bears chased us and knocked one of us out. :p

There is also word out that a new hunting game from the same people that designed Deer Hunter 2004, Deer Hunter 2005, and Trophy Hunter 2003 coming out sometime in the future. I'm not sure what the title of the game will be, the release date if it does release, nor the price. But I know there will be deer and moose at least in the game. So, far that's the only species that were sneak peeked to a couple special communities dedicated to these games. I even won a "secret" prize for answering a survey for the company, which I will get if/when the game is released. ;)

Not to hijack the thread but what is the basis of deer hunter 2005? I mean, what's the idea behind playing it online? In other words, do you interact with other hunters or what?

You can hunt with (like be someone's guide) and help them harvest a big deer, put on deer drives if you desire to help chase them big bucks out into the open, or compete against each other to see who can find the biggest buck. You can see the other hunters and interact with them. Sometimes people abuse that system on some of the public servers and will steal your deer, which is why I play on private passworded servers with friends.
