You should have a blast! You better leave a little early because we have about 8" of snow.Hockey's a lot different seeing it in person than seeing it on t.v.You really get a feel for the speed of the game.I wish we were going tonight I would meet up with you.Should be a great game, but the Blues have been struggling lately. It will probably be close to a sell out,so the atmosphere should be awesome!

So what did you think of the game?It was a close one.Blues won 1-0 in a shoot out.

Looks like were going on the 17th.

Sorry I have not updated lately, been busy ever since we got back.

I loved it. I am impressed with the speed of the game. It had me on the edge of my seat at all times. I will try to post some pictures either tonight or tommorow in the photo room.

I definitly want to go to another.

Hockey games are aweseome, it's real big up here! I go to the Ottawa Senators games a few times a year. What to expect? $10 for parking a mile away from the building with an hour wait to get out afterwards, $11 for a beer, $5.00 for a slice of pizza, $5.00 for a pop..... it's expensive!:D Sure is a fun night out though!

Boy, I'd love to go, but I've got a prior commitment. THANKS for the invite though...............ya DB.:D Maybe I should have invited myself along......:p

I believe I read someone posting something to the effect of "I'd rather watch paint dry" when we were talking about the NHL all star game a couple of weeks ago.

That wouldn't be you, would it?

AF

I love hockey. It's hard to believe that from a southern boy. But once I saw my first game live, I was hooked. I love the Hurricanes. I go see them a few times a year. We used to have a farm team here, and my wife and I were season ticket holders. They moved away, and man I miss them.

He was a non-issue in the first period, and half of the second, but turned it on in the third.

Watching Nash and Ovechkin side by side was a treat, but to be honest, Nash is a better player IMHO.

I dont know about that one Chris. As much as I hate to say it, not to many guys dominate a game like Ovechkin. Nash isn't on his level in my opinion.

Hmmm...I guess if I was starting a team tomorrow, Olvechkin would be very, very tough to pass up. But I like what Nasher's size would bring to the power play.

When he's on the ice, Nash has the puck more than any player I've seen since Forsberg. Some guys just have that knack. But Olvechkin's as pure of a scorer as they come, right now he's top 3 in the league. Nash doesn't get the credit he deserves but still, I'd have to go with Olvechkin too.

Can't believe I'm going to say this, but maybe you're right. I haven't watched too much hockey this year for various reasons, but I can tell you last night, Nash was the better player.

You can tell Nash learned a thing or two from watching Jagr. Nash has a lot of similarities namely throwing that 200lb. frame against guys and leveraging them. He came oh so close to a hat trick last night by doing that.

BTW--have to give props to Don McCreary for taking out one of the Caps' defenseman so Nash could score his second goal. :D

That was hilarious. He made up for it with a lousy call later though.
