Southerngirl
My mom come in today when she brought my son home from school, all excited about this new tear jerker the lead singer of the band alabama has done. It's about a girl with cancer that has a great outlook about it all. http://www.randyowen.com/index.php?page=braidmyhair It's a nice song, and if you buy a copy part of the proceeds go to St. Jude. ( I got a copy ) I thought I'd share the link, you can listen to the song there. Just don't look at the pics, Randy has got old in a hurry! wtnhunt
Heard the song a couple weeks ago for the first time and it is quite a tear jerker. Will not likely be buying a copy of the song, but we do support St Judes, a great cause for sure.
TexasDeerHunter
Alabama ( aka: greatest country band ever, IMO ) have been long time supporters of St. Jude's . After their retirement, Randy Owen went solo to make that song and it definately will get your eyes to watering.
Tominator
I really have a tough time with any child going through cancer. It's too tough for an adult; really breaks me up when I see a kid fight it.

My sister in law's niece was a St Jude patient, she passed away yesterday after a long fight, and I was thinking about her after reading this post yesterday morning, kind of weird. We found out late yesterday afternoon on our way home after leaving a car lot:(. Would assume everyone knows what St Judes is about, but for anyone who might not be familiar with St Judes, here is a link http://www.stjude.org/stjude/v/index.jsp?vgnextoid=f2bfab46cb118010VgnVCM1000000e2015acRCRD&gclid=CM-81Z-bqJECFQIUPAod90t7eA. Southerngirl
Years ago I went with my Uncle for one of his treatments in case I needed to drive him home. I was sitting out in the waiting room with 2 parents and a little girl, I'm talking 5 or 6 years old. I never really thought about it, I assumed it was one of the parents getting treatments, till they called the little girl back It's so hard for us to think about a small child going thru something like that but from what I have saw the song is dead on, Kids take it better than we do. They can hold their head high and go on with life like it's nothing most times, and we are the ones crying for them
