wtnhunt
Re: Pic-Posting ????? It really is simple once you get the hang of it. Like Steve said you first highlight by holding the left mouse button down while moving it over the line the line you want which should start out with a http: then right click on the mouse while that line is still highlighted and then move the pointer over "cut" or "copy" and click that. Then all you have to do is right click again when you are ready and click paste to put it where you want it.
smallmunster
Re: Pic-Posting ????? If you have raw pictures saved directly from your camera you will first have to resize them or they will be way to big. What operating system are you running (Windows XP, Windows ME, MAC, etc...) and what paint or image editing program are you running (Microsoft Paint, Paint Shop Pro, Adobe Photoshop, etc...)? Most recent versions of any Microsoft Windows come with MS Paint installed. We'll take it step by step starting where you first need help. After we get it resized we can move on to uploading the picture.
buckee
Re: Pic-Posting ????? STEP #1 - RESIZING Go to your picture folder on your PC where the picture is stored. Right click on the picture (left click)Open with "Paint" left Cick on "Image" left Click on "stetch/skew" When the box comes up, change your hieght and width from 100% to 40 or 50% and left click on "OK". Now, if you want to keep one picture of the original size for future developing and one of the downsized for the web, click "Save as"... re-name your picture and choose save as .jpg When you name your picture, don't leave any spaces. example: - jjlMoosePic2005 or jjl_moosepic_2005 If your not interested in keeping the original format for future developing, go to "FILE" and click on "Save". You can always rename the picture by right clicking on it in your files and left clicking on "rename"

JJL
Re: Pic-Posting ????? With all due respect Mr. Sutherland and Friends. IF YOU SPEAK EGYPTIAN..........( no offense meant Mr. Sutherland)............. BUT. . . . It tells me to click on the "Image button below the text box"..... I see an IMAGE box in a section that is labeled UBB Codes....maybe????????????..... should I click on that.............. The last time I did that , they E-mailed me pics of Baby-Buckee............Naked. Ain't going there again.................. Were going to read all of this stuff again for the 52, 154, 199th time............. maybe it'll sink in this try. Thanks for your help.............. my hand's still in the air. billkay
Re: Pic-Posting ????? Mr Sutherland, huh? Hmmm... OK, Get the photo you want to post into your photo editing program. You will want to set the size of the image to around 5 inches wide an 72 dpi. If you let us know exactly what program you have, we could probably be more specific. Once you get it sized you'll need to save it to your desktop. Now, get online. Go to your photo hosting site, I reccomend the Realtree site. We'll assume you are logged in and have a gallery there. Right click on the "upload photos" button. Now click on the browse button and navigate to the "Desktop" where you saved your photo. Hilight your photo and then right click on "Upload". Now we'll have to assume that you suceeded. Gets a bit tricky here so I'll type slowly. Click on the thumbnail, postage stamp sized image, in your gallery. It should change the page to another page showing only the one, full size image and some text below it. In that text you will find the address for this particular image. Once you locate it, click on it. If the entire address turns gray, your'e doing fine. Hold down the "ctrl" button on your keyboard, (Lower left) and while doing that press the "C" button. You just "Copied". Feeling the power yet? Head to the site where you want to post your photo and head to the correct room and click on the topic you want to add the photo to or start your own "New Topic". Do whatever writing you want to do first then below the text box you will see "Instant UBB Code". In that box are several options to click on. You want to click on "Image". That action will open a new, small window in the top left of your screen that will say "Explorer User Prompt". Once again, hold down the "CTRL" button and at the same time, press the "V" button. You have now just "Pasted". Click on "Continue" to complete your post or "Preview" as you chose. I hope this works. If it does, print it out and keep it handy. If not, send them to Buckee! LMAO! smallmunster
Re: Pic-Posting ????? JJL, I was a bit bored tonight and decided to try and whip a little something together that might help you out (after I couldn't find it on the net already). I have tried to make a picture tutorial with directions that goes through the entire resizing process from opening the picture to saving it. I used Microsoft Paint since all Windows XP users should have it. If you want to try it you can let me know if I forgot anything or it is not clear enough. CLICK HERE to start and follow the links at the bottom of each page. There are four pages total. I tried to make it for someone who basicially knows nothing, but I might have forgotten something. Let me know what you think. If it works I might be able to do the same for uploading if you need it. Photo resizing tutorial
