I used to think so until a couple of years ago. I wear my Rainbows whenever it is warm enough. It's kind of a lazy thing. They're really comfortable when you get them broke in. They are my favorite shoes. When me and the Mrs. go out to eat (at some pretty nice places, I might add) I still wear my thongs. Ball games, the mall, almost everywhere, even church.

If you haven't tried a pair of Rainbow Sandals, I highly recommend them. The ones I have are made in the USA, but they make them in China too. I'm gonna hate it when mine wear out, because if I can't find another US made pair, I'll have to get the China ones.

On the fence a bit about the man issue, but I hate 'em 'cuz I can't keep 'em on my feet and do anything else at the same time. As for me, I roll with either leather sandals with a partially closed toe (straps across the foot, and one protecting the toes), or 2 straps over the foot and one behind the heel. I used to wear them for work all the time when I was doing landscaping. This time of year, and for cutting wood, I opt for my Red Wing boots. :)

P.S. I think flip flops are girly. Men with flip flops...meh.
