HUNTINGMAN
:)While out driveing back roads today I seen three diferent flocks of turkeys. All three flocks were about 10 miles from wher I hunt.I am looking for some birds so I can start nocking on doors and mayby find a new hot spot, man those birds looked like they were eating good all winter long.About all of them were in cover crops and around cattle pastures, think they were grain fed cattle for it is not warm enough for bugs and worms yet. This really gets me pumped up,I think it is time to get out the calls and do some practicing and mayby drive the wife crazy. Guest turkeynutz64
Thats what I have to do again. I got a place in Missouri now, will be living there bout mid season. My uncle called me a couple days ago and told me he was bout a half mile from my house on the by road and was watchen a flock of 40+ in a winter wheat field! But the section across the road from my house is hunting club leased and I got three sides of it open for me to hunt so far! Found out quick that the neighbers cant stand what they have done and told me that when season starts the deer are on them more! Thats where I step in!!!! Hopefully theres some nice turkeys too!!! Around here I have several proprties that we hunt and have hunted for years! Its almost like naming the birds anymore! We got two places were we just get to watch the birds, The land owners dont allow us to take any but we can go out a practise our calling on em and just watch their behavier patterns! And we hit Kansas end of april to get some of them 25+ lbers in the n.e. part of the state!
