Griz
I couldn't be happier either. The last hiefer had her calf this morning. Man it has been some long days and nights getting them done. Wee needed up having to pull 17 calfs out of 300. Had 13 that were stillborn and 4 that were abanded which I now have them here at the house bottle feeding them. There doing great. I have several pics for yall and soon as I get some time I will post them for ya. I tell you what these cows are really doing good. They are very pretective of there baby's. The other day there was a couple buzzards that landed near some cows for a afternoon snack and when the cows seen it. Holy Smokes! They went crazy. One of those buzzards never even made it off the ground before the cows got ahold of it. I have never seen anything like it before. They stomped it and butted that thing all over the place. Also the other night there was a coon that come off the creek and got just alittle to close to a group of cows. Well needless to say that coon never made it... They dang sure watch over there babys that's for sure... Well folks I'm off for the rest of the day. This ole boy is wore plum out so I'm going to catch me some well needed rest. Who no's, there may some Z's involved to... Yall be good... Griz...

buckee
Sounds like a long deserved rest. It's amazing what some animals will do to protect their young, even when there really isn't a threat. Kinda makes ya wonder how you ended up bottle feeding a few eh ? Have a good nap I just did, but I didn't deserve mine
