PotashRLS
Just currious on the Coyote/Fox experience people have had with the 22 WMR and what loads they used? I believe testimonials are a better judge than someone's opinion. Not that opinions are wrong. Just looking for practical experience. stevebeilgard
i haven't used them, but i think they are a bit light. i prefer a 220 swift or 22-250.
Huntr104
I have a Rem. 597 in .22 WMR. Here in Rhode Island we are limited to nothing larger than .22 rimfire. Unfortunately I haven't shot a coyote yet with it but I'll be going for head shots. Good luck. let me know how you make out.
Strut10
A bit light for 'yotes. O.K. if you could make head shots. But I've seen coyotes hit slightly off the mark with a .243, a .270 and a .300 Mag keep going.....needing follow-up shots. They are tough. Saw one hit on the front shoulder with a .270 (woulda dropped a deer in its tracks) run 100 yards and crawl in a culvert pipe to die. A fellow who's shot way more 'yotes than I ever have sez that the fast .22's (220 Swift and 22-250) drop them the best. In his opinion the .243 and .308 were tied as second best.
