davetucker Posted February 12, 2008 Report Share Posted February 12, 2008 i know grain fed red deer taste aweful how about white tail that eat off feedres other than the wild,i guess i don't see the fair chase in feedinf deer that way and then hunting them,i'm not nocking it just my opinion.They are some nice animals though. I feed deer in my yard and this year 2 weeks of gun season never seen a buck at it but the day after gun season they started going out before dark and we dont even gun hunt on my land. And I agree, just because deer are coming to a feeder in the middle of the night, doesn't mean they are easier to hunt. If anything sometimes they can be harder to hunt because they can go nocturnal because they have a steady food source, so they don't have to spend as much time looking for food.
