NYBUCK
I finally got some pics downloaded of my kitchen project. I did all the work myself. I wish I took some before I started so you could see the difference but I didn't take any pics until the middle of the demolition. It is kinda hard to see how different everything is but we have a ton more cabinets and the walls are all insulated now. There was none before. All new plumbing and wiring that I did myself. Hopefully the house won't burn down. I still have a lot of finish work, molding, trim to do but the bulk is done. The main thing, the wife loves it. So here it is .... AND NOW THE NEW .... RangerClay
Re: The new Kitchen Nice work!!! It looks like you have an older house to work with and that can make things more difficult. I really liked the 70's yellow wallpaper. I think you should put that back up, LOL This shop teacher would give you an A+ on this project. NYBUCK
Re: The new Kitchen Thanks guys. I have pretty much done the whole house now. The house has 5 bedroom and 2 living rooms. The only room left is our bedroom. I would never buy an old house again. Man it is a lot of work. I enjoy doing it but you always run into problem, like I did with the kitchen. The walls were out of square and the floor dropped an inch and a quarter from one end to the other. Yes Dave, this was the projest that almost kept me from the smackdown, luckily my wife is understanding. Ha Ha. It is hard to tell but the old kitchen sink used to be where the bathroom is now. I moved it across the room so it i by the new window. Also where the microwave is now, there used to be a wall there and I knocked that out and pushed it back 3 feet to give us more room. The thing is, the reason I did this is that I want to sell and move to the country and I think that the new kitchen may help me get more out of the house. I don't know when we will sell now but hopefully pretty soon. I am sick of city life.

[/ QUOTE ] I tried to get Buckee but he was too busy on the Realtree Forums padding his post count. Actually the bathroom has many brush marks, my wife tried something crazy. She wasn't sure if she liked it but everyone that has seen the room loves it and I think it is going to stick. It is actually pretty cool. She watches way to many of those home shows on TV. She did just about all the painting. I hate to paint, I am too messy.
clayman
Re: The new Kitchen Looks good! I think I would have done a different outlet arrangement for the microwave. But other than that, nice job!
NYBUCK
Re: The new Kitchen Clayman, you are absolutey correct. There is an outlet behind the microwave taht jsu hasn't been hooked up yet. It is wired but just not connected to the main box. Good observation though.
