wtnhunt
With the suggestion on hinge cutting and bedding areas posted recently here, I went on and cut about 18 sycamore trees yesterday between 4 and 5 feet off the ground inside of an existing brush pile that is kind of between food plots. Had a few trees that kind of bugged me up inside the briars that did not fall, the trees kind of were wanting to lean back against the cut so I left them to fall later rather than taking any chances:(. Will have to get some better after pics of the pile after those trees fall. Dont know if it will really help or not, but this pile used to be a good bedding area, guess we will see. Here are a few pics. Most of the fell over trees layed down like this. Looks like a good area for deer to bed under. Did have a few that fell that hungup on oak trees in the pile.
