BowJoe
http://www.newsweek.com/id/109579 I just read this article and I gotta tell you. It never once mentioned that Jr. has an ego. It never says Hendrick is having a problem with Jr's ego and it never even quotes Jr in the article at all yet the title on yahoo's page is: "King of NASCAR Tries to Handle Jr's Ego". What in the heck does it have to do with anything other than this article simply talked about Hendrick and his past and Hendrick himself? It only mentioned Jr. at the end and that was to have Rick say that they weren't trying to change Jr. but Jr. certainly wasn't going to change Hendrick either. Is mainstream media so desperate to attach itself to our sport that they are blatantly misleading readers like they do about the president and conservatives? Newsweek is a joke. It's funny, they cut down "Rednecks" and all that we stand for but when it comes down to it, they want to feature our past-times like it's suddenly a great new thing that they followed all along. I thought this was going to be an article that showed a side I have never seen of Jr. but again, it's just another fluff to get a story read that shows nothing but ignorance on the part of the author. I've never seen Jr. have an ego in any interview and I've still not been disappointed.

Randyman
The answer is simple, the title got you to read the story and talk about it. You're right Bowjoe, pure laziness on the author's part.
Guest Finn
Jr has always seemed pretty down to earth for as famous as he is.
BowJoe
Of all of the comments that I have heard from other drivers, almost every single one has said that Jr. doesn't make excuses for what he does both good and bad and that he has the best work ethic of any driver they know. The only ones I have heard make a bad comment was the likes of Carl Edwards or another Busch series driver. Edwards was mad because Jr. spun him last year and took the win. What Edwards wouldn't admit to was the fact that he was losing it and slowing way down because of it and Jr. had nowhere to go but straight or he'd wreck too. I know Jr. does get a free pass on some things but overall I think he deserves it because 99% of the time he's honest and not at all a ruthless driver or person unlike some drivers I know of.
