Gator
Dipping that is. I first quit in July of 1998 after having dipped/chewed for 18yrs. I started back last May during a REALLY STRESSFUL time for me. Things are startting to look up again, and I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. I told myself that when I started it would just be temporary, as it was something I didn't wanna start again. When I quit the first time I was up to about 2 cans a day, and now I am at almolst a can a day, to much!!!! I am doing good, had three yesterday, and two on Sun. So here goes, I am DONE!! YOUR NEXT!!!!!!!

Tominator
Good luck Jason; your head and neck will thank you. Just a story to hopefully help you: Went to breakfast way back in the spring of '07 and I saw an old colleauge as my wife and I were leaving so I stopped and said hello. This particular gentleman was a smoker. He used to smoke in the teacher's lounge, and put his cigarette up next to the exhaust fan so the kids wouldn't see or smell the smoke. Anyway I asked how he was and he told me he was just diagnosed with esophageal cancer. We talked about my battles with cancer, and what he was facing. He said "I'm not going to give up, I'm going to fight it." I was encouraged, but when I went home and researched that type of cancer I saw that even with early diagnosis, the survival rate was around 3%. My buddy died last Sunday. I know you all are probably tired of hearing me tell my tale of woes, but trust me when I say, do everything in your power to quit because you do not want to go through the mental and physical anguish of a cancer battle. In June it will be 8 years away from cigarettes for me. I quit cold turkey. It was a struggle and it is still a battle at times. I am winning!
