Chrud
Re: Moss gets $10K fine for moon Very! I know it isn't anything to him, but at least the NFL agrees with me.

fisherguy
Re: Moss gets $10K fine for moon THat act may have lacked class but i really don't think he should have been fined.
colescott1
Re: Moss gets $10K fine for moon The fine isn't large, as neither was the offense. However, it is done more for a precedent setting step. Just like violent hits, the NFL can step up the fines, suspensions, etc once they have documented previous offenses. Although I don't mind SOME of the celebrations, I was always taught the same way Emmitt Smith was apparently.....ACT LIKE YOU'VE BEEN THERE BEFORE!!!!! dogdoc
Re: Moss gets $10K fine for moon it is still an obscene gesture--deserves a fine! todd
waterfowler_gal
Re: Moss gets $10K fine for moon It seems they always have to make an example of someone all the time... to show they mean business not depending on the severity of the issue... e.g. Dale Jr. saying s-h-*-t.... It blew him out of a ranking points and a nice fine.... where are they gonna draw the line!?
carbonhunter
Re: Moss gets $10K fine for moon I agree!!! These guys make millions of bucks playing ball, and the fans drink tons of beer and yell all kinds of crap at them. Stuff like this used to go on all the time, and they never got fined!! I was watching a thing with Mike Ditka on ESPN the other day, they asked him if the NFL should fine a guy for a cheap hit, his comment? "No when we played it would have been left on the field and that guy would have been looking around for his helmet after the next play." Now thats plenty of fine IMO. borch
Re: Moss gets $10K fine for moon I wouldn't mind it so much if the NFL showed any kind of consistency. It really depends who did it. Not what was done. In fact, if Favre actually pulled down his trousers the announcers would have said"Wow! Look at that nutty Favre having some fun with the fans." "Nobody has fun with the fans like Bret Favre." The NFL would start a Brett Favre Bun Warmer campaign. But Moss....Well he's labeled as a bad boy. The media and NFL like him in that role. So they do what they can to keep him there. Not that he's an angel. But he gives his TD balls and tickets to kids with disabilities. Visits hospitals more than just about any athlete. Also has an annual event he puts on for underpriviledged kids from his home state. Then again, if you just listened to the media you wouldn't know any of this stuff. That's right he's just a bad person. Borch At least he's not Ray Lewis.
buckbuster11
Re: Moss gets $10K fine for moon Does not surprise me. This is getting way overblown. The more I think about it, I dont condone it but at the same time its not the worst thing that has ever happened. Remember when Jake Plummer flipped off his homecrowd a few weeks ago? That was far worse.....and that wasnt all over the news 24/7.
IowaDeerHunter
Re: Moss gets $10K fine for moon Nomatter what anyone says, I am glad he did it, and it was a great thing to do. From what I've have heard when an opposing teams bus is leaving some Packer fans moon them FOR REAL! Although Moss should be someone to look up to that is professional, he always isn't. But I think he had some right in doing what he did. But that still don't make it right. Right? LOL.

MichiganHuntr1
Re: Moss gets $10K fine for moon No Lil, Jake Plummer of the Broncos flipped off the crowd if that what youre thinking. Randy Moss acted like he was mooning the crowd, he didnt even do it. I get a kick out of this, he acts to moon, gets 10 grand. Jake Plummer flips off the crowd, and gets 5. The_Kat
Re: Moss gets $10K fine for moon What a joke. I have seen worse at a highschool games. People need to lighten up, get mad about players hitting fans, but FAKE mooning the packers fans......BIG WHOOP.
