WABS
I voted 3" only because that's what I mostly shoot, however I do pull out my Mossberg 835 (3 1/2 inch) in some goose hunting situations.
okiedog
3 1/2" loads for me:D
bluelund79
I shoot all 3. What size depends on the hunt. 3.5" for goose and long range pass shoot on ducks, 3 for late season pheasant, and 2.75 for grouse, early duck, early pheasant. However, as soon as the the last 125 rounds of 2.75 steel is gone, I will use nothing but 3" or 3.5" for all steel loads...Bought a 935 Mossberg semi, so 2.75" is out for that gun... DU_man_84
depends what im hunting, i use to use all 3.5 for waterfowl hunting but now i use 3 inch 2's and 4's for ducks and use 3.5 BB for geese, it gets tough though when were shooting ducks i gotta switch out my 3 inch for 3.5 real quick, everyone in the blind always makes fun of me cause geese are coming and im throwing shells in and out of my gun, but it works
Leo
depends what im hunting, i use to use all 3.5 for waterfowl hunting but now i use 3 inch 2's and 4's for ducks and use 3.5 BB for geese, it gets tough though when were shooting ducks i gotta switch out my 3 inch for 3.5 real quick, everyone in the blind always makes fun of me cause geese are coming and im throwing shells in and out of my gun, but it works That's exactly why that manual magazine cut off switch on the Browning Gold is SO VERY COOL!! You can swap shells in a snap. For turkeys, I'm absolutely sold on the patterns and performance I get from 12ga 3 1/2" #4s.
wtnhunt
Shoot 3 inch winchester supreme high velocity #5's.
PA_RIDGE_RUNNER
I shoot 3 in shells for turkeys. My setup with my win 1300 black shadow and comp-n-choke tube prefers 1 7/8 oz of copper plated #6 shot. As light as that gun is I think the 3 inch is plenty. I even felt the recoil once when I shot a turkey.
The Kid
3 1/2 inch, i really don't enjoy sightin in my gun, but i do enjoy knowing that i can shoot up to 50 yards if the big long beard hangs up on me
