Guest Andrea
I'll agree with Andrea that some sharks are real sporty. Blacktips are awesome fast and jump like tarpon. Plus they are darn good on the grill I love to fish for Mahi's (Dorados, Dolphinfish). A big Bull Mahi has shoulders and let's you know it. Tunas are the toughest IMHO. They are just ridiculous divers. They go down, and down and down. Wahoo's win for speed and will strip your thumb bare if you are dumb enough to touch the spool on one of their runs. They are for certain one of my favorite to eat fish there is period. I've done plenty of freshwater fishing as well. Not bored with any of it. I like to fish! Sometimes I really miss my boat Yeah, tunas will wear you out. They will strip your line in a hurry. Groupers are hard to get off the bottom but once you do....they don't fight much. Sharks are so big and heavy it feels like you aren't moving any line at all. Once you get him coming up and he finally sees the boat........back down he goes. ( All that work for nothin) At least with the tuna...you can put them in the boat once they've tired out. Sharks are a pain. We usually let them go. Only because we weren't fishing for them to start with and we don't want our boat to get destroyed.:D:D
aksheephuntress
...Halibut****,salmon, salmon shark,lingcod;...rainbows,dolly varden, grayling..... The only thing I wish we had up here are Walleye. Best eatin' fish in the world. ....Does anyone know that there is a bounty on Pike, up here???...someone illegally brought some up and stocked all over up here, in the '50's. ...nice pictures, Texas... If you're in Florida you must not be too far away from my Brother in Gulf Shores or me in Beaufort. Sounds like you're fishing more on the Gulf side versus my Atlantic side to me. Maybe my wife will let be bug you on the way to visit my brother some time. It's up to you too, of course. Folks over here won't eat AJ's (amberjack). Seaworms creep them out. I say pick em out when you clean em. That's how I grew up eating them anyhow.

That's my favorite fish to eat. Crappie are a real close second!
craig mack
I would love to do some top water muskie or northern fishing. flyrod64
I love to fly fish for those native brookies. They don't get very big most of the time, (my biggest was 13 inches) but climbing up rocks, around cliffs, and up waterfalls makes it a real adventure!
