Texan_Til_I_Die
Well of course these nut cases pick schools to find their victims. They KNOW the students and faculty are unarmed and defenseless. It took police approximately 8 minutes to get there after the 911 call came in. Do you know how many rounds you can get off in 8 minutes? A bunch! 911 = government sponsored dial-a-prayer.
fly
they said it was a previous student wonder if he was a disgrunted student? they said he commited suicide I read the shooter was a student at Northern last year, no word on motive yet. Being a teacher at a University myself for 10 years now it seems to me that students are having a harder time dealing with failure. Years ago I didn't think twice about assigning failing grades. Now I'm leaning towards saying "what the heck, everybody gets an A" .
HOYTnMUZZYboy
I live about 45min from NIU and had a friend in the cole hall classroom that the idiot had his shootup in. To hear him say what actually happend is just horrible. I just saw on the local 9pm news that they gunman stayed in a travelodge hotel for 3 days until the day of the shooting. They found a duffle bag full of ammo and other bags full of clothes and what not. NIU campus is closed until the 25th if I remember correct and the cole hall where the shootings took place is closed for the rest of the semester. Please keep the familys, students, and anyone that had a part in helping in this tragedy. Also they are starting a memorial fund for the campus all money goes to the fund. As soon as I know what the website is I will put it on here for those who would like to contriubte. Al your wife is in my prayers. Stay safe everyone! christsavedme
It's a sad situation for sure! We have had multiple school shootings this year in the Memphis area. The last two I know the schools had metal detectors but come to find out they are only using them about twice a year. Now some part of that just doesn't make sense to me! I have been following the NIU shooting and will continue to pray for all the families involved!
Deb
Man, that is terrible! I've been to their campus, nice school. (You don't want to play bball in their house, the pep band won't even let you think, they're so loud.) OJR, in Ohio you can conceal carry, but not on state campus' or public K-12 schools. Too bad, wounder what would have happened if 20-30 seated student pointed their legal concealed carry at the shooter??? Think he might have had wet drawers before he got off the second shot?
