Guest Finn
My cousin is moving to Indiana this June and has access to 3000 acres of his in-laws land. Supposedly, no one hunts there, but we'll see. He's going to be around the Batesville area....how's the hunting in that area? Thanks
RangerClay
Wow!!! 3000 acres all to yourself!!! I will help you do some scouting the first week in November!!
billkay
That is an outstanding area! Anywhere down there near the Ohio River is going to be prime. You can check through Pope and Young and find out where that particular county rates in the state. I'm sure it's in the top 10%.
Guest Finn
Thanks, Bill. I'm not counting my chickens quite yet, but kinda excited about the chance to hunt there.

dlriggins
Finn I hunt in that area every year and have seen some outstanding deer the issue is that most of the wooded area is small patches and fence rows of the 3000 acres how much is wooded? also poaching has been a problem in the area between Batesville Osgood and all the way to Sunman so if he has permission it would be a good idea to have it in writing as to avoid any confusion from the authorities. Turkey hunting in that area is also awesome if he is interested in that sort of thing
