All joking aside I believe when it comes to handguns and

.45's buying a quality pistol that will not fail you when you need it is what you should consider and that's why I carry a HK USP. The cost will not matter when it's time to shoot. Skid

If'n you don't mind me askin...

What part of the state are you from? If you're a northern boy I'd be happy to let you shoot my 1911's if that would help you decide...;). There's several calibers to choose from. Starting at the arrow and going clockwise. .45, .45, .38Super, .45, .40, .45, 38 Special and .22.
