Re: Walmart again.....!!

First off....Lets get things straight at this here party...."Stay Out Of Them Peas"...snuff said aight tongue.gifgrin.gif

blush.gifSorry people...Can you tell its Friday night blush.gif

Secondly...and its a big one...it has some mass:

Toolman, Let me invest some of your money.

The first thing we can do is look into mutual funds...they are alot more secure than radical nationalism bondage.

Get a grip man....what you so staunchly defend here is the right to be an American...I'm with you on that. What I'm saying is that as an American I have the right to spend my Hard Earned Money any way I please...and in my wallet....its a dictatorship.

You think I should get another job????

I would tell you about what I do for a living but you may not have the stomach for it.

I can understand why you may be upset about the closure of things around you that are so important to you.

What I fail to understand is how you seem to believe that in America....you can put other people down about the way they believe...and gain any kind of a following for your beliefs or ideas on how to make things better.

In Person....Most of the time people will just tell you where to put it.

Re: Walmart again.....!!

Sweet Deals! Congrats! It is sad to see prejudice on this board...get a life toolman. I am in college, on loans and grants. We get most of our clothes from thrift stores because we can get really decent stuff cheap! We are far from being wealthy, but I can say God is my wealth! My family looks for the best deals at Walmart and sometimes they are there, sometimes not. It is called being smart and I am not going to waste God's money on products that are twice the price somewhere else! So chill out and respect other people's lives and the way they live them. By the way fellow Realtreer's, I got a camo t-shirt(Treebark, not Realtree, sorry, lol) for $3.50 at K-mart tonight; orginally $7.

Re: Walmart again.....!!

I love walmart, and heres why.Our local proshops the only one in the area, and they have had pretty much a monoply on the sporting goods businuess in this area.It went to thier heads awhile back and they had the highest prices on everything Ive ever seen.Thier customer service sucked, you could stand in there all day and if you didnt happen to know them personaly they wouldnt help you at all, theyd stay behind the counter talking to thier friends while you wandered around trying to find what you were looking for.Walmart came in and the local shop lost a lotta businuess, it had nothing to do with prices, it was just the way they ran things that drove a lotta customers away.I wouldnt even go in there for several years. Finally about last year i went back in to find theyd totally changed thier approach, they were very helpfull, theyd fired the worst of their help including the guy that was running the place. There prices were still a little higher but you gotta plan on paying a little more if you want the services the pro shop offers that wallmart doesnt and i can understand that.Wallmart wont service my bow or order parts for my gun, cut my arrows, refletch em or anything else.So during season i pretty much get my stuff at the proshop now again and sometimes i even stop in just to visit. But after season when they start clearancing stuff at walmart you can bet im gonna be there, service or not i cant afford to pass up things that are marked down to half price or lower.

It's sad that the people of this country has became a bunch of money grubbers. just to kill a deer.

[/ QUOTE ]

You know some people have wives, children, pets, house payments, car payments, utilities, medical bills, credit card bills, gas for thier cars, and groceries that they have to buy before they can even think about hunting.

Nearly all of my hunting equiptment comes from Wal-Mart except for my rifle scopes. And the vast majority I buy after hunting season is over, so I can get it on sale.

If that makes me a money grubber, then so be it.

If it weren't for Wal-mart I the only way I could hunt is to climb a tree buck naked and throw rocks at deer.

[/ QUOTE ]

My thoughts exactly!!!!!!!!!

I picked up some strap on tree steps for $1 each.

Every year I stock up on Scent Away spray. last year I cleaned up I got 15 bottles of Scent Killer for $2 each. Thats enought to last me for 2 seasons.

I also bought my son's Fred Bear bow on clearance for $40.

I do buy my guns, amo, bows and archery stuff at a couple of local pro shops.

If i found that i was so poor that i had to shop there , and destroy our way of life in thgis country.. I would get a #2 job so as to support the community and get the horrible styore out of town. they destroy our ball park when they moved in here..(bullys). Then they hire people for piss poor wages. I can go on and on.. when you use your bargans think about the heart aches you are contributing to. GO GET a better job & stop running every one else to the poor house ...my 2c

[/ QUOTE ]

Yeah right...LOL

Your going to work two jobs, just so someone else can have a good paying job, instead of working at Walmart ...LOL grin.gif

That will be the day, when I get another job, just so a small shop downtown (who has 3 employees) can survive, while hundreds of Walmart employees get laid off....LMBO. grin.gif

Re: Walmart again.....!!

Just got back - Walmart in New Milford, Ct.

Got;

Mossy Oak, BDU style overalls - $20

Hunter Specialty Camo Socks (2 pr) - $5 (these are very comfy and a great base layer with thicker socks!)

Advantage Timber L/S tee shirt for my son - $5

Like I said yesterday, this is a HUGE waterfowling store, so alot of the stuff they have is related to that.

They have a BUNCH of Whitewater Outdoors insulated jackets in Max4 HD - $40!!!!!

I might have to make a trip back for one of them!

Toolman...you are sorta surprising me here with some of your comments. I guess you could say they are kind of bold. Anyway, enough about you....

I LOVE WAL-MART. I will say that I think they really hurt your mom and pop shops. I try to shop at my local shops but most of the time, you will find that same thing for a lot less. So, do I want to spend 20 bucks on something that I can get for 10 bucks at wallyworld....Well, it shouldn't take a genious to figure that one out!
