IllinoisArcher
Well this weekend i went to Grand Bear Lodge with my family, and my ex-girlfriend works out there and i saw her with another guy and i ended up writing a poem I miss your smile I miss your laugh I miss everything about you. I see you everyday and all I can do is smile and wave. When I really want you back I care so much for you. I don't understand what did I do? I thought we would be together for so long You were so sweet and charming with your words you said. But something happened I don't know what went wrong I cried so hard just lying in my bed. I say I am over you but I really know I can't forget you and I never will. I want you back and I love you so. You don't even care and don't even know. I saw you the other day Talking to some guy I don't know I stopped and stared I just couldn't look away. It hurt so bad why did it have to turn out this way? I guess we'll never be together again like I had wished. I'll never forget you and the times we had. The places we went and when we kissed. I don't hate you, but you are missed.. I just miss you so but I guess you'll never know.
RangerClay
Many moons ago I caught my gal with another man. To this day I thank her because it cleared the way for the girl of my dreams. I know it hurts now but this kind of pain is short and things will get better. Trust me, you will see. It hurts, but you just gotta work through it. I'm still not over my old girlfriend, don't know if I ever will be. Hope things get better for you. AdvantageTimberLou
I think Garth Brooks has a song about a girl he dated in High School that he thought was the one but God had other plans. We all have a path in life, we never know what that route may be but someday it will lead to your soul mate. May not be today, may not be tomorrow, just let it play out. BTW: Great poem too! Tominator
Unanswered prayers is right. Been dumped by two women, and thank God for that because a month after dump #2, my wife came along. 18 years later.

BowJoe
About the best unsolicited advice I can give you is that spending a couple months pining over an ex-girlfriend is nothing compared to spending years with the wrong wife. I guarantee that another girl will come along when you least expect it and knock you for a loop better than this girl ever did. I've been engaged 3 times and married once. Trust me when I say that none of them are worth pining over when you find the right one and the right one will always make you forget the wrong ones. Good luck and great poem! Whatever you do, don't give it to her. She won't have the romantic reaction like they show in the movies. It never happens. Find someone better and relish in the fact that you are happier with the new girl than you've ever been.
aksheephuntress
...What they all have said,.is True..........and I have been on the recieving end of pain, like you have experienced.....:Take Heart, and remember( though , you won't, for many years..)...that your Honesty and Gifts you hold for that special person .....will not go unrequitied.... You deserve a lot better!!

Been dumped by two women, and thank God for that because a month after dump #2, my wife came along. 18 years later. Yep, unanswered prayers. That song came out about the time I got into country music and about the time I got dumped by a girl I thought I would spend the rest of my life with. muggs
I actually wrote a similar poem about a similar situation a few years back. You cheated on me, how could this be? I think I might be going crazy? You must know that this is your loss After all, I'm the man...the boss... No more crying for me A new girl there soon will be I can see her now... Blonde hair across her brow supple hips and a friendly smile a vixen who stands out for a mile This new woman comes to me by fate ...in case you're wonderng, it's your sister Kate.
