Turkeygirl
So I'm looking around, both at fiber optic and red dot scopes. Cabelas has this on sale...which is cheaper than some of the TruGlo fiber optic sights.....just wondering this is a decent scope for the price....or not worth the price? It's only available in silver though with ag reen dot, but heck, if it was a really good deal, who cares.... Let me know. http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/links/link.jsp?id=0053054712614a&type=product&cmCat=SEARCH&returnPage=search-results1.jsp&QueryText=BSA+scope&N=4887&Ntk=Products&Ntx=mode+matchall&Nty=1&Ntt=BSA+scope&noImage=
Rhino
I understand your $ are limited but consider the total cost of this scope being mounted on your turkey gun to the cost of your other option. Obviously you will have to put camo tape on it if you decide to buy it. I'm not familiar with this scope but read through the 39 customer reviews. Most customers were buying it for rim fire guns to do some plinking. It took a while to find reviews from turkey hunters. Here's a copy of the 3 turkey hunters I found in the reviews. AL turkey hunter: "I purchased this product because it was a green dot instead of the normal red dot to be diffrent. I am very pleased with this sight. I have it mounted to one of the new Reminton Model 870 SPS Super Mag Max Gobbler that shoots 3 1/2 shells and have shot around two boxes of shells through it with the green dot scope and it still holds its zero perfect. The clarity of the scope along with the green dot makes a great sight in low light conditions or sunny either one makes no diffrence. This was a great purchase." CA turkey hunter: "I Stuck one of these on my Mossberg 500 pump shotgun (full choke) with a set of weaver mounts. This gun kicks like a dang mule but the scope never looses it's zero. I recomended this to my neighbor but his reciever isn't tapped so I wish you could fit it to the rib. The scope lets me put 20 inch patterns at 50 yards very easily, point and shoot. Turkey hunters dream, turkey's nightmare. Buy this product! =)" NC turkey hunter: "SCOPE IS CLEAR AND EAZY TO FIND TARGET. I HAVE USED IT ON MY BROWNING 12 GUAGE WITH 3 1/2 TURKEY LOADS AND DOUBLE 00 BUCK WITHOUT HAVING TO READJUST SCOPE. ONLY PROBLEM I HAVE IS WHEN YOU MOVE YOUR HEAD UP OR DOWN OR SIDE TO SIDE THE GREEN DOT MOVES. NICE SCOPE FOR VERY LOW PRICE. NEXT TIME I WILL INVEST IN A MORE EXPENSIVE SCOPE. You should also read through all the reviews too Ruth. Some mentioned problems with the windage adjustment being backwards.
Turkeygirl
Yeah....nice price but I see what your saying...maybe I'll just go for it and get something a little better. Can you use red dot scopes for hunting other game as well, say if I wanted to put it on the .22 for squirrels and predator. Are the TruGlo scopes a better scope?
