muggs
I missed the show last night because I had to run a lot later than I usually do. I just can't see David A. selling out concerts and albums- but I guess teeny boppers will buy anything.

buckee
They both deserve to win, no doubt. But after last night, I think it's going to be David Archuletta. The kid is truly amazing.

muggs
Ballad version of Backstreet Boys. I know you were kidding...but it probably will be something like that. He reminds of of that latin pop star who was popluar in the early 90's, John Sicatta (spelling??). Anyway, it's all manufactured junk. Just goes to show you how little talent it takes to become a "star" these days. Pull some one off the street with an above average voice, have a professional song writer compose something for them, can the background music and voices and John Q. Public eats it up with a spoon. Not me though, I'll stick to bands that play insturments, compose their own songs, and made it on their own without corporate creation. He writes his own stuff, plays his own instruments and sounds great to me. Matter of fact.....I believe he already has a cd he put out on his own. Matter of fact.....I believe he already has a cd he put out on his own. Yeah, I've heard that he's in a band, but he needed the corporations to make him. He's more talented than Archie, but at best he's a lounge act. I'm talking about bands who make it on their own. It's a fact, corporations create bands like N-Sync and the Backstreet Boys because they can profit off of them. The whole thing seems sort of opposite from what art/ music should be. But hey, I guess that's what pop culture is all about. Wow...now I'm going to stop because I'm even boring myself.

Past that, I watch to antagonize my wife and because I choose to give them one night on the big TV.
wtnhunt
Me neither. I can't figure out what genre he fits into. Maybe Disney Movie soundtracks???? Think the kid could do really well with inspirational music Andrea, however his voice is good enough in my opinion that he could do well in other types of music as well. I guess I just do not see the limitations you are putting on him.
toddyboman
I can't figure out what genre he fits into. Maybe Disney Movie soundtracks???? I agree. The kid has an amazing voice. But imho all his songs are the exact same. Cook at least gave use a variety.

But imho all his songs are the exact same. Cook at least gave use a variety. I feel the same way about Cook. He has never really impressed me. He sounds the same to me everytime. To me, he acts too cocky. Watch his eyes when the judges say something negative. It's like he's thinking "Whatever". Anyway, which ever one wins deserves it though, because they both have given their all.

bozz
Again they are both good and will sell many CD's no doubt. I believe they wilL reach Chris D.'s #'s in time. Cook is no lounge act, and I come from the 80's when music was real good (I was in my 20's then). These guys will do fine and make plenty of $$$$$ for all. They are very talented. Guest batman
Think the worst three performers last night were Amanda, the second girl to go, and the eighth girl to go. The song choices for them were all terrible. I agree

bozz
Best Finale I think I've ever seen in 7 seasons. I loved Michael Myers the love guru, too funny. Music was fantastic, Cook with ZZ Top was awesome. Truly a great show I wasn't expecting. Good for Cook he's great !!!!
Tominator
I was pretty surprised. Glad Cook won, he's clearly the better all-around artist.

Ohiobucks
Cook is clearly the better all around artist, but Archie's got him on voice. I think Archie will win, but I want Cook. I think Cook will sell more music in the long run. Terrell Pryor won't be a Buckeye. Troy Palumalucantspellit is retiring. No Big 10 teams in the Sweet 16. Ohiobucks will not shoot a 150" plus buck this fall. ----> <---- My daughter told me this morning Cook won, she was pretty excited.
Guest Andrea
That was THE BEST finale ever. I was really impressed. Think my favorite part was the Guitar Hero commercial with David Cook though.:o:o:):)

Think my favorite part was the Guitar Hero commercial with David Cook though.:o:o:):) LOL. Probably would not have known he was not really singing, had it not been for David Archuletta doing the same commercial near the end of the show. His performance with zz top was probably the best part of the show.
