Adjam5
Just got a e mail advertisement from Gander Mtn. Looks like they will be selling Remingtons AR styled rifle. Check out the link. Anyone know how these guns are doing so far? If they are Remingtons, they can't be junk. I expect them to put out a quality firearm. http://www.gandermountain.com/news/newsitem.asp_Q_id_E_15616
toddyboman
Looks like a pretty sweet gun I was thinking someone else posted something about this gun a month or so ago......might do a search to find some more info on it
doubleA
They are nothing more than a Bushmaster with a Remington rollstamp on them. I dont understand why the 6.8 spc isnt in the cartridge line up. A huge investment company(Cerberus) bought Bushmaster in 2006 and Remington in 2007 and well as DPMS and Cobb. Looking at Remington, they were not doing so well financially and were bailed out.

Adjam5
Thanks for the info. One parent company, owning all these other smaller gun manufacturers might be easy to topple if guns come under attack in the new White house. Scary. Adjam5
I just got the snail mail advertisement from Gander today. They have a big firearm sale going on. The Remington R-15VTR is selling for $1099. The S&W M&P15 is a hot buy at $799.95 Bushmaster A3 M4 is $1099

Adjam5
Adam, I would jump on the S&W as they have $100 mail in rebates going on right now. What model is that? The Smith is the M&P 15 model, flat top, no front sight w/collapsible stock ( for the states that allow it:rolleyes:). I am not looking for a AR, I have 3;). Colt, Stag and Bushmaster, but the S&W would be a nice addition. The camo finish on the Remington AR is worth around $200, so couple that with the cost of the gun and I think it is right there with other gun makers. I think Gander Mtn is also a high on their prices. Not just guns, my son bought a B mobile deke last week and it cost $69.99. That is a lot of money for a turkey deke. You have to know your prices of products before you buy. Do your homework, as most of us do around here:)
