Opinions about Knight & Hale calls

I just bought 2 new slate calls from Knight & Hale's hammer series. A glass surface for intense raspy calls for long range calling & I bought a slate surface for soft mellow yelps, purrs, and clucks. This particular call is suppose to be great for up-close" calls for drawing into shooting range. I know alot of people like Primos calls. I have a Primos box call but I'm wondering how some of you feel about Knight & Hales products. I've watched a few of their shows & they seem to make great equipment to.

Funny you should ask, I just picked up a knight and hale call earlier today. I am fairly new to turkey hunting, but this one sounded great to me. I have been drivin everyone nuts while practicing with this thing :D:D

Funny you mentioned this because I told my girlfriend last night I just bought 2 more slate calls & rolled her eyes. She knows turkey calling practice is right around the corner.

me personally I like calls that everyone doesn't have, the reason for this is everyone in a 10 mile radios has the same primos call because thats all the sell around here, and if a turkey starts understanding that there being hunted i think they reconize the same sound, maybe this isn't true, but it sounds good lol, if they sound good to you i'm sure there able to bring in a long beard this spring!!!!

I've had good success with the Knight and Hale calls. I just recently switched to primos calls though. I like to try different calls each year to see which one works the best.

I think that I have tried almost every call made and they all seem to get the job done. If they make a bad sound it is usually my fault. The Knight and Hale calls got the most use last season but this year I'm itching to try something new. Have a trip to Cabelas planned this week and the odds are there will be a few new turkey calls in the bag when I leave the store.

I'm ok with K&H slate calls but I'm not too fond of there gimmicky stuff like the lonesome hen call with the adjustable dial. Those seem a bit cheap and sound that way too.

Yeah, I bought one of those....sold it on eBay a few days later for what I paid for it. That thing sounded worse than my 6 year-old yelping with his empty mouth. Horrible!!!!
