muggs
At least you realized the Tigers have serious ?'s in their starting rotation and bully. btw- I think the Rays and Reds might surprise a lot of people this year. The Reds are definitely a team I'd consider for a wildcard sleeper or something.
toddyboman
Oh the injury bug will jump up and bite half the Reds team like always and to the bottom they will go. muggs
Bullpen maybe, but the starting rotation...they'll be fine Verlander's a horse, but outside of him, I just don't know. Not a bad rotation but Bonderman isn't anything special IMHO, and Willis got shelled in the light hitting AL last year. I think they'll have issues there. buckbuster11
I think Willis is going to be great. He's no longer got the pressure of being the guy. He'll be the #2 or #3 starter and he's going to be one of the better #2 or 3 starters in baseball.

He'll be the #2 or #3 starter and he's going to be one of the better #2 or 3 starters in baseball. Thats the same thing I'm thinkin. Verlander was the only guy who stayed healthy the whole year. Bonderman and Robertson played most of the year, but they each missed a handful of games at the end of the year, Kenny Rogers was never healthy last year, and other than that, they never really had another starting pitcher, outside of Verlander, Bonderman and Robertson, there were 8 other guys that had to step in and start. The only question they have is if Rogers can stay healthy.
buckbuster11
And they aren't going to need lights out pitching every single game with the offense they will be trotting out onto the field.

I wouldn't expect anything from Rogers, especially since they're watching for HGH now. Bonderman will be key, but if can turn it around he'll be a huge factor to their sucess. But if he has another year like he did last year it won't cut the mustard. And I wouldn't give you a bag of used BP balls for Robertson. Willis is a gimmick pitcher with a funky windup that threw people off for a couple years. Once the league figured him out, he wasn't much of anything. But that lineup is going to score a ton of runs and will win games for them. I like the way it's made up and Polanco is one of my favorite players. That said, there's ?'s there too. Sheff and Mag's health, Pudge's age... I'm sticking with my Tribe winning the division because of the two studs at the front end of that rotation and a solid bullpen. I just wish Borowski wasn't our closer.

craig mack
Tigers only weakness is middle relief but with our bats I think we can save them in some games. Todd Jones is not the best either but he should get enough saves for us to win the division. And as tough as the AL Central is, I dont think the wildcard will come from there. I think we will beat each other up where as a 2nd place team in a weaker division will have an easier path.

buckbuster11
we must be crazy. I'm predicting this to be their worst year in quite a while. And that's saying a lot since they haven't hit the .500 mark in 15 consecutive years.
