Guest coydog316
He has resigned, I heard this morning! Finally justice has been served to one who has muddied the university that I love! One thing that bothers me the most, is the fact some people feel that they are beyond rules. But you know what Sampson is now gone....the only people you have to feel for are the players and coaches. They now are dealing with a lot of emotions that really they shouldn't of had. I don't know where IU is going next for a coach, but I do think they should take better notice of his past record! OK, now I am done!! Master_Chief
I agree completely. I don't know how you feel about the General but you would have never seen him caught up in this type of situation.
Guest Finn
This kind of stuff irks me to no end. Sampson should be done in the NCAA....I can't imagine another school hiring him

colts1888
I heard 5 or 6 of the players actually stood up and threatened to not play the rest of the season if they got rid of Sampson. Apparently it happened Thursday night at the team meeting when the players were being informed of the decision. 6 of em skipped practice yesterday and should be benched in my opinion if they made the trip to Northwestern. Im a Purdue fan myself, but i do appreciate the way IU handled this. They put a quick end to it. If you cheat, you should be out of a job, unless your in New England. The players simply have to grow up and ask themselves who it was Sampson was thinking of when he knowingly broke the rules for the 2nd time. IU was around a long time before them and will be around for a long time after. If that team had more Indiana kids on it, maybe they would better understand why the decision had to be made. Of all the kids who skipped yesterday, only one was an Indiana kid. All those kids who did not feel above Indiana basketball should be rewarded with a start and significant playing time tonight. The starting 5 would consist of all Indiana boys.

Guest coydog316
Uh........NO. Why would you want to bring back a grouchy old man who you got rid of in the first place? Don't you want a fresh new era? Someone who's game is clean? We all knew Sampson's nose was dirty before we ever hired him......??
