Guest p_radford2
Hi, I have a new Tikka T3 Lite .270 win and was wondering if anyone could share their experiences with different ammo. (Bushnell Elite 3200 series scope) (Hornady, Winchester, Federal, Remington) What has worked best? Thanks
longhorn57
Welcome to the forums! As with any gun no 2 are exactly alike so you will have to get a few boxes of differnt brands and see what it likes to eat.
wtnhunt
Welcome to the forums. Do not own a tikka, but my remington model 700 in .270 likes the 150 grain core lokts. Would try out as many as you can and see what groups best for you.
yooperkenny
Like they said try a bunch of em to see what your gun likes. I would recommend trying some Federal Fusions - my Tikka T3 (in 7mm Rem Mag) likes them! A bonded bullet at a reasonable price IMHO. Good Luck! I got a box of Federal's, nickle size groups at a hundred yards! But you really need to see what your guns likes.
aksheephuntress
.....Hello...Welcome!! ...Nice gun!...What do you usually hunt ?...What area of the country are you?
Guest p_radford2
I have mostly hunted turkey and quail /dove / duck....I am just getting back into deer hunting....I used to hunt with my dad's old Marlin lever action 30-30. My dad finally gave me that 30-30 (this Christmas & 23 years later) just after I bought this Tikka. I live in Birmingham, AL.

OJR
Welcome to the forums! I have a Tikka, T-3 in a 270 and love it! Very accurate! The only problem is that I have not shot any factory ammo in it! All reloads! I used Hornady, 130 grain Interbonds and it really shoots them great! I shot an elk with it at about 125 yards and took out both lungs and the bullet kept going! The elk took 2 or 3 steps and dropped! I will not complain about it at all! Missed160
I have a 270 A-Bolt, also with an Elite 3200 scope.. Mine shot Winchester 130 gr power points noticably better the Remingtons.. Last year I bought Federal Fusion 150 grains & they shoot AWESOME. The ballistics are a bit better then the Winchesters, without paying the premium bullet costs..
