Guest Turtle
Just wondering once Hendricks and Gibbs take the first six spots with : Johnson Gordan Jr. Stewart Hamlin Kyle Bush Who do you think will fight their way into remaining six positions? BowJoe
I think Kurt Busch will be in there along with Kenseth, Truex, Bowyer, Edwards and Biffle.
Guest Turtle
Not bad my picks for final six are: Edwards Harvick Kenseth Jeff Burton Bowyer Kurt Busch
Chrud
In no particular order... Jimmie Johnson Jeff Gordon Tony Stewart Kyle Busch Carl Edwards Matt Kenseth Kurt Busch Clint Bowyer Jeff Burton Martin Truex Jr Ryan Newman Denny Hamlin I'm not sold on my last two yet. Newman might have things turned around and return to his 2003 form of 8 wins. Hamlin is a great driver. So far, it looks like the final 10 races from 2007 have carried over to 2008. I don't know if Hendrick will cure all for Junior this year. That is the place for him to be. However, Eury Jr will forever hold him back. Until they part ways, he won't be a contender. Guest Turtle
Chrud , I understand your feelings about it may not be Jr.'s cure all, but he was 13 after 26 with what 6 blown engines.? It don't have to cure all, just enough to get him in.
camoman1
Harvick Jeff Burton Kenseth Truex Edwards Neuman
Guest Turtle
So guy's did we miss something with Brian Vickers? He looks better than some of our picks so far.
Guest Turtle
starting to look like: 3 Hendricks JR , Gordan, Johnson 3 Gibbs Stewart, Hamlin, Shrub 3 RCR J. Burton, Harvick, Boyer 3 Rousch Biffle, Edwards, Kenseth Newman on his way out. Think Edwards will be back in next week followed by Kenseth. So for Kahne to stay in someone has to go. If Shrub doesn't settle down he'll plummet
Chrud
You won't have to worry about Kyle. He'll make the Chase, but his driving style won't win him the championship. You need to win, but you also need to finish. The truck race was a great example. In the Cup series, be happy with 3rd, you know the 2nd place guy isn't going to roll over for you.3 Don't count out Kirk Busch yet. Remember how good he was around the second Pocono last year? Kahne probably won't make it. If he does, he won't be a contender.
Guest Turtle
You may be right about Kurt. Switching owner points with Hornish Jr. and having to start 36 at Bristol with Qualifying rained out didn't do the five time winner there any favors. Twice the races were started by points and he should have started closer to front had he used his own points from last year.
