I figured it would be a great post for everyone to mention a product, short descriptions, etc. Stuff is getting so expensive that I hate to try new stuff in fear that I will simply waste the money. We can really outline some good stuff here. This doesnt even have to be hunting related either. Everyday stuff is just as useful. Face it, we arent in the woods every minute of every day. Ill kick it off. Rain-X Windshield compound. It detours rain, especially while driving. In most cases you literally will not need windshield wipers unless its a heavy, heavy rain. Awesome stuff. M00N Posted February 27, 2008 Report Share Posted February 27, 2008 Shammy Towels, Super Shammy Towels, Mini-Shammy Towels, Etc. These towels are amazing, very durable, and reusable. They are extremely absorbent and work well for towels to dry pets after a bath, clean up liquid messes, wipe down a freshly washed car, etc. Just make sure to follow the care instructions and they should last several years before wearing out. Several different companies make and claim to have the "best" of these kinds of shammy towels, but so far they all seem to work about the same for me. Some do vary in size, meaning they can hold more or less liquid between ringing them out, though. I'm highly impressed with them. We have a double-coated 95lb. German Shepherd and after a bath she is a sponge full of water that we just can't get dry. Since we got some Shammy towels to use on her now drying her off is so much quicker to do. They also make drying a car off after washing it a breeze, too. We can dry off several cars with one shammy towel. It comes in handy when washing down two race cars after a muddy day at the race track and trying to get them dry in order to work on them in the shop. Not really to sure hmm... Swivel Brissel I think that is what its called its a little sweeper that you don't have to plug in say there is just something in one spot. We use it on our lobster boat windows, when the big waves hit the windows it just runs off and the windows are perfectly clear. Water just runs right off. I like: Holloway House floor shine. It really works like the commercial says. Scott's brand summer lawn fertilizer. That's the greenest my grass has ever been! Tilex. Leo Posted February 27, 2008 Report Share Posted February 27, 2008 One comment on the Rain-X stuff. The windshield must be absolutely clean and solvent free before you apply it. First step is to clean the heck out of the windshield with windex before applying. If it's not perfectly clean and solvent free it WON'T WORK! Follow the application instructions on the stuff exactly. If it's too hot outside that also messes up the application. I don't remember what the max temp is. It's on the bottle. Swiffer dusters. Especially good for a quick dusting if you don't want to remove everything on a shelf. Any optical mouse. Toss the old roller ball version and you'll never regret it. I can scrub with a cloth and some cleanser all day long on something ( marks on the wall, stain on the countertop, burnt on grease on the stove) and it won't budge. Didnt read ALL of it so this may be in there but.......some folks swear by using on their fishing lures as a fish attractant ???? i guess its made out of some kind of fish oil ??? i never tried it and never will... RangerClay Posted February 28, 2008 Report Share Posted February 28, 2008 Gee wiz, how could I forget this one: Magic Eraser. This sponge is the best thing ever for cleaning. I can scrub with a cloth and some cleanser all day long on something ( marks on the wall, stain on the countertop, burnt on grease on the stove) and it won't budge. Use that Magic Eraser and it is a breeze. NO JOKE!!!! Also....Clorox Clean-up. Love the smell and it sanitizes . Those Mr. Clean Magic Erasers are the nuts!!!! They will clean just about anything.
