.... tonight at the Fed Ex Forum in Memphis. Got my girlfriend and I tickets for her birthday. She had told me she really wanted to go(it will ONLY be her 4th time to see them ). Personally, I'm not that big of a fan of them, but i dont guess it will kill me.

BTW- Would've much rather have gone to the Fed ex Forum last Saturday night than tonight :D

My thought on the matter is, if you really like this girl, then i would go and have this huge smile on your face and enjoy every minute of it! :p Now if you have been married as long as i have then you still go but just bull around all night long and don't smile. :D

I hate to be the negative one, but don't get your hopes up. I have seen them 3 times live. Each time they have sounded horrible. Kind of dissapointing, because I really enjoy their music on the radio. Same thing can be said for Tim McGraw. Just goes to show you how much can be cleaned up in the studio.

Are you out of your mind? I have seen Tim Mcgraw 4 times and I think he is much much better live. It prob sounds off to you b/c of being in the arena and with all the banging going on. Concerts aren't for the vocals it's for the show and entertainment and loud music. I guess just stick to cd's if you want to hear the vocals. By the way Tim uses his own band when recording and not some made up instrumental group like most.

Nope, last time I checked I was still in it. :D And as far as Tim McGraw goes, I'm more talking about Live performances I have seen personally, and on TV. The dude can't sing live, just my opinion. And I'm not talking about the band when recording, I'm talking about how easy it is to clean up vocals in the recording studio. I know a thing or two about that, if nothing else. I was a studio rat growing up. My granddad owned one of the premier recording studios in the South for about 30 years. Maybe you should have your ears checked. ;):D All in fun man, to each his own. I just don't hear near the same vocals live.

Yeah, I agree with Unioncountyslayer. Studios could make me sound like I was the next American Idol if they wanted too:D. They can do anything to a voice. It's like a picture of a person being put in a magazine. They can take the ugliest picture of someone and brush it and make that person look like a model...same thing with a studio and if you don't think Tim McGraw uses that stuff, think again. I been to a lot of concerts and one thing I have noticed is a big difference between being in an arena and being outside. Outside concerts always sound the best. When your inside, the singer usually sounds like crap but not because they can't sing, just because there is too much of an echo and acoustics. But I wouldn't mind seeing Rascal Flatts though...they are one of my favorite country groups right now;)

Well it wasnt horrible... I dont guess. Ha. I'm not much on concerts. Too many flashing lights and the music is way too loud for me :). She enjoyed it, so it was a successful trip. We actually sat 4 rows from the floor(thats what i get for letting her get the tickets).

BTW- William, prices were very steep :(. Ended up paying nearly 200 for our tickets.

I have recorded in a studio and, no, they cannot make someone who cannot sing well sound good. If you can't hit a note, nothing they can do to change that. First, you have to be a good singer, then they can make you sound better. There is too much competion in the music industry to spend time money and resources on someone that does not have talent. You may not like his talent, but the dude can sing. You don't get to where he is at and have staying power by starting out in a studio with your voice modified.
