I have been getting a lot of crap from people that says that troops are stupid to sign up and enlist in the army or other branches of the US defens. I have two army members in my family. IF you support the troops that are fighting and have fought for are freedom and the troops in Iraq, sign this post! Thanks, God Bless!

Re: troops

Living close to Ft. Benning, I meet a lot of military service men/women. Both my mom's and dad's parents came here because my grandfathers were in the military. I have friends that are in the service and an uncle who is getting ready to go overseas. I support all branches of our military and owe them greatly for my freedom. May God bless and watch over each and every one of them.

To anyone who has or is serving our military: Thank you and God bless!

Re: troops

Boy, I'm glad I read this post. If I hadn't read it and replied everyone would think I'm not a Vet, or not patriotic.

Don't let people bother you by what they say. People said the same thing during the Korean war, and Vietnam. There is always going to be a lot of fools around flapping their tongues no matter where we are fighting. .....popgun

Re: troops

My little cousin joined the Army this past summer. Could have helped him get in the Air Force, but he felt this was the place for him to go. I'm very proud of him.

Just know you can't help stupid people. Stay as far away as possible so it doesn't become contagious. wink.gif

In my current position I run into all sorts of negative people, I have noticed that just about averyone of them all suffer from the same afliction....I don't know if it is becoming more prevailant or just more noticeable in times of conflict. I don't want to ruffle too many feathers but it seems to me that people are becoming more selfish and lazy...ie insane numbers of law suits for a quick and easy buck? For the most part Patriotism doesn't mean near as much to poeple now as it did 10 years ago. I for am patriotic and willing to do what must be done. I don't do it for support or recognition, I want my family to enjoy the things in life that made being alive fun. "Millions of people sleep peaceably in their beds because A few Men and Women are willing to battle evil on their behalf." And I say Thank You.
