WHISKEYSWAMP
I found an albino raccoon dead along the side of the road this morning and am thinking about getting it mounted... anyone have any good raccoon mounts they'd like to share? I'm looking for some ideas.

DU_man_84
never seen an albino coon, but it sounds like it would be an awesome mount
WHISKEYSWAMP
I usually don't pick up road kill but this made me turn around... doesn't look to banged up so I'll see what my taxidermist thinks. From what I've read this morning it is very rare, 1 in 750000 coon are albino.
Tominator
That's pretty wild. I trapped a melanistic one back in December, that one looked pretty cool too.

Alisha
Sounds like you were super lucky to find this! Beautiful animal! I came across this pose while surfing the net one day and thought it was pretty unique. There are a few other poses on their site as well that you might want to check out. http://www.ardencreek.com/c-Taxidermy-Mounts-21.html

WHISKEYSWAMP
took it to my taxidermist, he says he does about 6-8 albino coon a year... must be common around here but we do have a lot of coon hunters in these parts.
