Grant-KS
And the reason I used the term campus / mall killer is because weapons of this type seems to be the weapon /s of choice for this type of insanity. When was the last time you heard of someone using a bolt action weapon for a massacre at a campus or mall ?? ,,, I hate to see weapons classified myself, but like I said earlier where do we draw the line on practical weapons for civilian use and possession ?? .... To me this topic is more political than moral ... The weapon of choice for random loser killing sprees is usually an inexpensive semi-auto handgun or rifle because if someone's dumb enough to do something like that, they're not gonna spend $15,000 on a nice machine gun. The one kid that did the recent mall shooting used an SKS. A gun that can easily be had for $150 and is no better for such a task than a Browning BAR or Remington 7600. I don't know how well you know gun laws, but there are already all the lines this country will ever need to keep law abiding people from killing others with no reason. The problem is that you can't fix stupid people who have to respect for any law. To own a weapon like this, and if there was an eligible for civilian use autosear for this weapon, you would have to have an absolutely spotless record, and would probably have to pay around $15,000 by the time you bought it. The lines are there. We don't need a single added gun law to protect the people from law abiding citizens. For those of you who oppose this weapon for its concealed charactaristics, do you also oppose concealed carry of handguns for licensed persons? I said we needed less of these type of weapons. I see NO need for the everage Joe out there to need one of these type weapons, there's NO practicle use for one other than what it was meant for ,,, MASS destruction in the least amount of time .. We still friends ?? ...
wtnhunt
Pretty cool. Just my opinion, but the bad guys get plenty of guns illegally(semi auto and even some full auto's), dont think they would pay the price tag to own one of these if they were in production and obtain them legally. TexasDeerHunter
Buckee, for the most part I understand and agree with what you are saying. Absolutely it is a novelty item, thats why I can't understand anyone calling for an immediate ban. Like I said before, most of the buyers would be shooters who like gadgets. I doubt that any hardcore criminal is going to opt for that versus some type of more concealable weapon. Yes I am scared of what the anti's have done and are trying to do, no I don't want them altering our constitutional right anymore, but if we start bending I am afraid they will take a mile when given an inch. I feel we have got to stop blaming the firearm and work toward taking care of the real problem, the criminals. Your right about us all standing together thats why I dislike seeing this kind of division.

Like Magpul said, they're aren't going to produce it, and I don't think that it would really be any better in a self-defense situation than a concealed semi-auto handgun in an IWB or shoulder holster. What this gun was meant for actually is a demo gun to show some of the cool stuff Magpul can make. Still friends? Absolutely! Arguing about a cool concept weapon system is too dumb to ruin friendships. Let's just agree to disagree. *Big group hug*

ybronco
Sorry I'm so late to this one but I can see from leo stand point as well as others. However Vermont hunter said my first thought it isn't practical. My brother with the Sherrif's office showed me that gun a couple weeks ago I told him the same thing he still wants one to each his own.
