Guest Turtle
What a wreck fest yesterday in the Nationwide Series. Almost half the field not on track to the end. Keselowski taken out with 7 laps to go and finishes 23. And this is with cars they are used to, that supposedly handle better than the Sprint cars. Todays Race may be just a matter of survival. Glad to see Mark Win Even better he took out Edwards on the way:D:D I know Mark didn't mean to but if he had been more aggressive over his career he might of won a championship or two. But unlike Johnson and Stewart I guess he just wasn't willing to win them that way .
OJR
It sure was a "wreck fest" yesterday! I couldn't believe it! Should be very interesting today!
Chrud
Yesterday's race was no different than last year's. It was going to be a great finish until that last wreck. My pick for today is Carl Edwards.

He was completely at FAULT! What a jerk!:( Isn't that TWO (2) DNF's for him??:D:D This year is starting out so GREAT! LOL!!!:D:)

Ironranger
From Nascar.com, here is what Gordon said... "It was my fault," Gordon said. "We were all pushing so hard there. I got a little tight underneath Matt there and drifted up into him. I was trying to stay out of hitting him after he spun, and it just turned me sideways. I couldn't have hit the wall at a worse angle, and it really tore the thing up." Gordon is a great driver and when you are near the top people tend to hate you... Guest Turtle
Only problem I had was the loose tire issue for the 99 on pit road. The tire was rolled to the camera guy five feet in front of the car. Yes if the camera guy wasn't there they might could of caught it, but if the catcher has to chase it then it wasn't under control in my opinion. But then I'm not a Edwards fan since the altercation with Kenseth last year and I may be biased. Just used to Nascar saying their not interested in why something happened only that it happened. Chrud
In the interview with the "WHINNER" after he wrecked, he ADMITTED he was only "partially" at fault! He was completely at FAULT! What a jerk!:( What a jerk? That was one of the worst single car impacts I've ever seen. Gordon was very lucky not to get injured. And you want to call him out as a jerk because of what he said? I'm tempted to say something about the pot and the kettle.
Chrud
But then I'm not a Edwards fan since the altercation with Kenseth last year and I may be biased. Why? That situation did raise a few eyebrows last year, but no one heard exactly what was said between the two. Whose to say Kenseth didn't say something that should have resulted in a cuffin'. It was obvious he said something back to Edwards, but with no mics no one knows what it was except those two.
craig mack
I was shocked to see that Gordon wasnt hurt. That was a hard hit. I bet they change that opening on the track where he hit. Congrats to Edwards.
VABuckSlayer
Congrats to Edwards. I had a decent fantasy week thanks to him! Tony Stewart took a hard lick too yesterday. Gordon's looked worse though. I can't stand either one of them but glad they didn't get hurt. Stewart did seem a little shook up though. Guest Turtle
You're right Chrud I don't know what was said. Just me I guess. I would probably felt better if he had punched him. If he felt he deserved it fine just they way he drew back, then kenseth flinches and Carl just smirks, just rubbed me the wrong way. But back to the non-penalty Nascar has never cared why something happened: Robby Gordan sent wrong part by manufacture 100 points $100,000.00 crew chief suspended Few years ago Jeff Gordan had shock mount slip defective Nascar say's it was a part failure but bottom line car is too low in post race insp. fines and penalties Even take the cameraman out of the equation at first race they said and Hammond demo'ed new tire carrier rule that tire carrier must maintain contact to near side of car. Nascar will be looking for this and will enforce it. The carrier last touched the tire on the far side of the car, so even without the tire getting lose they should of been penalized. Last but not least would they do it for everyone. If this had been Jeff Gordan of Jimmy Johnson Nascar fans around the world would have been up in arms. All the headlines would say: "Nascar looks other way as Gordan's tire roll's into infield" "Nascar bends rules to allow Jimmy Johnson to go on to victory" Of course this is just my opinion I could be wrong, but I doubt it. Guest Finn
Didn't see Stewart's wreck, but Gordon really hit hard Edwards had enough speed that it didn't seem like anyone could challenge him.
Guest Turtle
Thought Stewart's wreck was really hard, then I seen Gordan's. Man for these guy's not to be athletes they really can take a hit.:D:D
Guest Turtle
Just heard the good news:D Carl Edwards failed post Race inspection. Fines and Penalties expected to be announced later today. :D:D Should put Toyota back on top in all three divisions again. Darn Kyle Busch:D

Nascar will be looking for this and will enforce it. The carrier last touched the tire on the far side of the car, so even without the tire getting lose they should of been penalized. I watched some of "This Week..." last night. On the incident you are talking about, the tire carrier did keep in contact with the tire to the near side of the car. He kept his hand on the tire and rolled it back toward the wall. Once on the near side, he gave the tire a push, and there was a cameraman in the way and the tire got away. And yes, it was mentioned Sunday night that it will most likely be 100 points and $100,000. That will put Kyle Busch, aka Wreck Waiting to Happen, back in the lead. Guest Turtle
Chrud , Thanks for the update. Thought for sure he rolled it from far side but didn't record so can't go back and look again. I guess I could of been wrong, I didn't think I was senile but then again no one who is ever does.:D:D
