RUTNSTRUT
Hey everyone just checking in. I don't have much time to chat now but I will be back.
Guest Colorado Bob
A little bit about me. This is my 15th year turkey hunting. I hunt my buddy's ranch----I'm the only one who turkey hunts it. It has quite a few merriams on the place & I usually do pretty darn well. 14 out of the 15 years I've tagged a gobbler. I'm 53, I shoot an old 870 that I bought when I was 15----it only shoots 2 3/4" shells & I use "baby mags" Federal #4's. Standard full choke. Quaker Boy, Grand Old Master box call is my favorite go to call. As far as names for the team---I'm good with anything you all like. Team 7 is OK by me. Plus I'm computer illiterate----so one will have to post photo of my bird if I get one. CB
M00N
I'm fine with any team name, I'm not picky. We can stay Team 7 or maybe Team Lucky 7 or something like that. Or if someone wants to come up with a clever team name that isn't already taken then I'm fine with that too. Maybe something like Team Realtree Renegades, Team Realtree Strutters, Team Realtree Bird Busters, Team Realtree Gobbler Getters, etc. Once we decide on a team name, if enough team members want a signature to wear around with the team name I can make us one once we are sure everyone on the team has checked in and that we aren't replacing anyone. Also, if anyone needs help hosting their entry's pictures or even posting up their entry feel free to shoot me a PM and I'll send you one back with my e-mail. Long as you can get the pictures on your computer somehow and attach them to an e-mail I have no problem hosting them on my own photobucket until the contest ends and helping you get them up in a post in the entry thread. Just make sure you read the rules and have all the pictures you need to get your entry qualified! I hope everyone has a fun, safe, and successful season! I'm looking forward to seeing pictures and stories of your gobblers. Hopefully I can lay some lead into a gobbler myself.

BAMABUCKS
Hey guys/gals, Steve here checking in from Alabama. Can't wait for March 15. Been seeing a few strutters starting to gather up their flocks & hearing some birds gobble from the roost. Been doing this now since '87 or '88 & I swear I love it more every year. Good luck to each of you & I look forward to hearing stories & seeing pics.
Guest Colorado Bob
Good luck-- Bama Hope you get us on the board. !! Moon----I had a sister who lived in Lingletown-----probably spelled wrong---just outside Harrisburg
turkeybuster
I've been turkey hunting for the last 4 years. I've killed 3 so far. First one was 24 pounds. I've killed one the last two years and called them both in to within 30 yards. We usually do pretty good aslong as the weather is well. I kinda like the name Team Realtree Renegades. M00N
Moon----I had a sister who lived in Lingletown-----probably spelled wrong---just outside Harrisburg That's cool I'm only about 24 minutes from Linglestown in Middletown. I've been there quite a few times or drove through on the way places. Right now we're going to get a flood. Flood stage for the River is 17' and it's expected to go to 18.1'. So, if I'm quiet on the team thread the next couple days it's because of the flood. I have to move a whole basement full of racing equipment and two race cars and find homes upstairs for all my big hunting gear like my archery targets, blinds, treestands, etc. Plus I have 4 hybernating turtles outside that I have to somehow wake up early and remove. I kinda like the name Team Realtree Renegades. Team Realtree Renegades sounds fine to me how about everyone else's opinions?
Guest Colorado Bob
Realtree Renegades sounds good to me.
M00N
If no one objects to Team Realtree Renegades then I'll submit it to Strut10 and get a signature made up. So, any objections on the board? I'll check back tomorrow before I go do a little cleanup from the flood and see if anyone objects or not, if not I'll submit the team name and post up a signature. njbowhunter27
Hey guys I just found out today I did not draw a tag for turkey. If there is anyone who would like to take my place on the team feel free. I am going to cry in a corner now good luck all.
BAMABUCKS
Hey 27...hate to hear that you didn't get drawn. Keep checking in with us though & I hope the fish will be biting this spring since there will be no turkey hunting. Moon: I guess when you contact Strut about the team name, you may want to let him know we need another player.
M00N
Okay I'm sending the team name to Strut10 and I'll let him know about your misfortune njbowhunter27. I'm really sorry to hear you didn't get drawn. Maybe next year we'll cross paths again and you'll get that turkey tag drawn.

Strut10
Please welcome your newest team member...........ruttinbuc!!
M00N
Welcome to the team ruttinbuc! I'll make us a sig up once I'm sure the other two missing team members actually check-in that way we don't have to change the names on the signature. I sent the two missing team members each PM's on 03/06/07 @ 9:30AM EST and requested the PM's tell me once they are read. So, far both PM's haven't been read as far as I can tell. Hopefully they'll check-in soon, though.
ruttinbuc
Hello everyone, ruttinbuc checking in. Looks like I got the tag that njbowhunter27 didn't. I know how he feels. I was turned down for the first week in my zone. I hope I can put that tag to good use. I have the last two weeks of the season to try and catch up to one. I had a dismal turkey season last year. I have seen a few birds this past fall, but it looks like it may be a tough hunt. I'll do my best to put some points on the board. Good luck everyone! RUTNSTRUT
So is anyone on our team going after longbeards with a bow or am I the only one stupid enough. Actually I sold my expensive specialized turkey gun because shooting them with a bow is such a rush. I don't care if I ever shoot another turkey with a shotgun again. There are always those toms that come in that you can't get a shot on with a bow that had you had the shotgun you would have. But for me that extra challenge is what makes it fun. I also call for a lot of people throughout the season so once it starts I may not be on here much. Here in Wi we can only hunt Wednesday thru Sun of our pre drawn season,so I will have a few days each week to update. But I spend a lot of time scouting,so I can keep friends and relatives on fresh birds. Good luck to all team members, have fun and be safe.
