Checking in teammates. Looking forward to sharing some turkey tales with you this spring.

Season opens March 15th here so I've been doing some preseason scouting work and will be doing some more as the weather permits.

Team names...any suggestions?

Hey all...I sorry for not being on sooner. My season starts on Late apirl and runs into May here in Indiana. I think this year I'm going to be going after these bad boys with a bow for the first part of the season!!!!

Turkey Tales sounds great to me....

Also I'm leaving in a few days to go out to Arizona for some R&R and I will be back around March 20th. So don't think I walked out on you just yet :) I hope we have a great season and hopefully people stay active. That was the biggest issue I had with my deer team this last season was that people weren't active....Let's have some fun and share the stories along the way.....

When does everyones season start?

Season starts March 15th here and runs through May 1st.

I have a few rookies to take turkey hunting this year so I'll be taking on the role of the turkey hunting guide some this season. Don't worry though...I'll get my licks in. ;):D

my season here in Colorado starts april 12th and goes untill may 25th, that sounds like a long time but these birds up above 8000 feet are hard to hunt, unless you are ready to run a triathelon which I am most definatly not going to be doing anytime soon. We are only alowed to get one bird a year here and I am gonna take the first one I see. Then I will take a few of my friends and try to help them.

Hello! Sorry that I haven't checked in before now. . . we were on vacation and just got back late yesterday.

Turkey Tales sounds good to me. My season starts May 5 and runs through May 31. We've had some great-looking toms come through our property on a regular basis, so I'm really excited about my chances for success! I'm also glad to be part of this team.

I'm hoping to use an Exturkinator-wrapped arrow to take my tom with. . . . whether with bow or gun, David Ashburn will certainly be on my mind as I sit in the woods this spring.

Last year I got my first eastern with a bow,but I will most likely stick with my super mag this year.Good luck to all!!!

Well, I took a walk out at my hunting land and saw a bunch of turkey tracks. We still have a bunch of snow on the ground that needs to melt so the turkeys can get something to eat, I have a feeling that the weights are going to be down on the birds this year. I did see one pile of turkey feathers hopefully I don't find too many more like that. :o:rolleyes:

Glad to see you've arrived ranchand99. Good luck in Florida.

After visiting my parents in south LA this past weekend I made a pit stop at my hunting camp Sunday afternoon and spent the night so I could listen for birds this morning. I also pulled my 3 trail cameras but I only had a few hen pics on on camera. All the other pics were deer, pigs, coons & other critters. If there's hens around there's gobblers too.

This morning I went out at the crack of dawn to listen for some more birds other than the ones I already have pegged. I heard about 8 birds this morning including on load mouth gobbler sounding off close to where I got the hen pics. For the most part gobbling activity shut down shortly after flydown. Most of the gobblers must be going right to hens off the roost right now.

I'll head back Friday afternoon to try to roost the birds where I got the gobbler pics a couple of weeks ago. I could hear some of those birds off in the distance this morning so I know they are still in that area. The long range weather forecast looks great for this coming weekend. Can't wait! :D

I'm fixing to start gathering, organizing and packing my turkey turkey hunting gear to head to the camp today. Opening day is tomorrow morning.

Hopefully I hear some fly up to roost and maybe get a shock gobble out of some this afternoon. Anyway...time to get it on down here!!! :D

Wish me luck. ;)
