There are all types of hunting websites on the net........some more "relaxed" than others........maybe we tend to be a little more on the "controlled" side, but we have a following of over 10,000 members........some frequent the site more than others........so we must be doing something right. If people like to cuss or show lewd pictures, they can surely head to another web site that permits it. One thing is for sure, you will quickly find out what this website permits and what it doesn't......... So in all politeness and respect, we simply ask the new members to follow the rules and regulations under which they registered....................it's our jobs as Mods on this site to uphold them............ We aren't bad guys, and some of us take our style of hunting a little personal.....down right protective of it...............I pursue all avenues of hunting....from spot/stalk to decoying to stand hunting.....and do it with bow....rarely touch a rifle anymore. Covered many miles on foot, bowhunting Muleys and Antelope and even whiteys..........This week I've been patterning late season whitey's, and have been perched in a tree before dark...below zero.........and no wussy heater either, LOL............some of us do rough it and work for it, you know !! LOL Take this to heart.........most folks that come to this site are just average joes on an average salary.......the only hunting they know is there "back yard"....or "back 40"...........I'm closer to the west than most, and still haven't been able to scratch up the bread to cover the ever-increasing out of state fees........alot of folks are worse off than I, and are dang happy to be able to hunt those lesser deer...........leaving us to dream about those big bucks....for now............ If you like mule deer better than whitetails....great! No problem there at all. But there is no need to insult other hunters or the way they hunt. Or what they hunt. I also think that if you are trying to get banned......you will. No need to walk into someone else’s house and try to force yourself on them. Tell us about mule deer? Great...I am sure we would all be interested. Show pictures of bucks from out west? Fantastic. We are all hunters and enjoy seeing them. Have good natured fun with posts? Again, no problem. But it seems that some of you have one goal........disrupt this site and eventually get banned. That is a shame. I think if you stuck around long enough you would also grow to appreciate our perspective. I guess time will tell what your decision is. My issues are with folks who come here with one thing on their minds to do...stir the pot! If all the hunters from the west wanted to come to this site and talk hunting...why come now? You telling me you've never heard of Realtree.com? Your here to cause probs. and defend the loud mouth who started this crap! I'm sure some of you have some great stories and pics. to share....so lets here/see that. As far as the "slob hunter" label goes...I really don't like watching a video with someone running with a rifle...slamming into a tree while the rifle is pointed right at the camera man. Loaded or not...just not good for kids to see! I say close/lock/delete all posts and/or threads containing anything about MM, and start over! We will surely find out fast enough who is a troll and who really wants to be here. Welcome aboard to any new folks who "want" to be here. When I saw it on our board, I thought I'd check it out and see what it had to offer. Since then I've authored a few posts, posted some photos for folks, and been labeled that "MonsterMuley" crowd. I'm glad our forefathers and brothers in Iraq are fighting for just the opposite, freedom. You see, one of the best things about this country is you learn to agree to disagree. As a moderator myself, I've had to let some "hotter" topics go and some not. But rest assurred, if no rules are broken, I wouldn't lock a thread just because "they" are from somewhere else! I can understand you guys were getting bored. It happens. So, in the immortal words of Rodney King "Why can't we all just get along?" In the meantime I'll just be content to tell all of the members of the MM gang that I don't hunt the monster mule deer you guys get to. They're just not anywhere near here, and I sure can't afford to go out west right now to hunt one. It's not high on my "To hunt" list. I enjoy hunting whitetail deer. It's the only deer we have in Indiana. I hunt from a treestand, or from the ground, I occasionally stalk. I use a bow, a shotgun with slugs, or a muzzleloader, depending on the season. We don't set up feeders here as they are not legal, I won't say that if it was I wouldn't use it. I don't have a problem with any method of hunting as long as it's legal. Maybe we agree on something. Moosie is a stand up guy for his friends and a dang good hunter. He pushes the envelope on the internet and knows that it is for fun and sharing info. I have shared 1 hunting camp with him and enjoyed every minute of it. Enuff of that serious stuff. Moosie,if ya get banned I had nuttin to do with it.
