OJR
encouragement to a friend of mine and my son's buddy! He is only 39 and has a brain tumor. Everything has been pretty stable for about 5 years. When he went in for his latest MRI, they found the tumor had grown a little and there was some bleeding in his brain! They started different chemo and will have to see what happens. He and I talk ever so often and it seems at first, he is kind of withdrawn. After a bit, he loosens up and gets back to being himself and we joke and kibitz the same as before. My oldest son and this guy went through 12 years of school together and he was over at our place all the time! We have had some good times together. He is married and has 4 kids. His dad died a few years ago from cancer and his mother has been diagnosed with lung cancer. Tough on the whole family. On top of this, my second cousins son, who is 42 had a major stroke, but he is getting somewhat better. He can talk and is off the ventilator, so that is some improvement. He is married and has 3 kids! So it goes in life. Enjoy what you have because one never knows what is going to happen in the next 2 minutes! aksheephuntress
........Hi, OJR.........Thinking of everything in your post. Gosh.......well.........(well?- gee,THAT is a deep subject).... Gosh, darnet, I am going to say some prayers , too. There. I wasn't going to type that, because I didn't think you wanted to hear that, but then I didn't know what to type....then, I thought , well, who the **** cares what I am going to type anyway, unless it is TSBH,and he jumped my case anyway, because he didn't like what I typed, even though it was the truth.... but then a person has to think about other people's feelings...so that is kind-of what I am doing here, now.but really what I really want to say ,is that this sucks, and it's not fair, and why do people have to get sick and die when they are so young....with little kids, to boot! OJR....I am going to pray for strength and understanding about this. ....And I am going to pray for you......whether you like it or not!- Thinking of you, from Alaska.......I hope you are not mad at me.-Kathleen
