Turkeygirl
So I'm thinking about sending a mail order in this week to Cabelas before they get back-ordered on stuff. I need a sling, some turkey ammo, and I will either get a TruGlo Red Dot or a TruGlo TruPoint fiber optic sight (I still can't decide, aargh, lol!) Is there going to be any problem with sending a check or no? I was just wondering because of the whole ordeal when I went to Bass Pro, and the guy said my check wouldn't go through or whatever(and I have plenty of money,lol)...then someone on here told me why it did that, something about the guy must entered something wrong so it was a security thing or what not? So I was wondering if I would get the same problem sending a check to Cabela's or not, because I haven't had problems sending checks elsewhere. 007hunter
As far as I know it should be fine. Why don't you just call and order? Will be a heck of a lot quicker...
RangerClay
Ruth, I would buy your ammo locally. You are going tp pay a MUCH bigger shipping fee because it is concidered hazardous material.
LifeNRA
If your having problems with a check, then get a money order! As far as I know it should be fine. Why don't you just call and order? Will be a heck of a lot quicker... This would be faster, along with a credit card. Ruth, I would buy your ammo locally. DU_man_84
yep your check will be fine, i use to do it all the time when i was younger before i got a credit card, takes a little longer but it works
OJR
I think they will take your check, but it will have to clear first before they ship the items! I agree with buying ammo from the them! It is way too expensive! Even our local stores are less expensive than they are!
Turkeygirl
I would buy locally except....no one carries the Winchester High Velocity or Remington Premier Copper mags.....I've checked locally, I even checked Gander Mountain last time I was there, nope. Not many carry the 20 ga shells except for the Federals....and those I actually found cheaper at Cabela's than locally or Gander Mountain. I might order online with credit card, saw they have a shipping of $5 for $100 orders and mine, by the time I got a sight, sling, and ammo might be $100. RangerClay
I would buy locally except....no one carries the Winchester High Velocity or Remington Premier Copper mags. My walmart has the Remington Premier shells. Not sure if they 20's but I can look. I would wait till April to look for turkey loads. Most of the stores are just starting to get their spring mechandise in the store. My Walmart was just filling the shelves last week their turkey hunting stuff. Turkeygirl
Yeah, a Walmart I go to had the Rem Premiers but all in 20 ga...it's kind of a pain that most places just seem to carry 12 ga shells and not much in 20. I was checking the Bass Pro website though and their Winchester shells were like $2 cheaper! One thing I always consider though is gas price...I'm going to spend the same probably, if not more, driving around for shells than if I order them... guess it just depends on what stores stock what
Hoyt03
If I was ordering from Cabelas I would do it online and pay with a credit card. It super fast and so easy a caveman can do it. I love ordering stuff from cabelas online.

beagleboy
It was never a problem when I sent a check in the mail. You might want to check if they can take a check over the telephone. I have done that with other companies.
stevebeilgard
your check will be fine at cabelas, but i'd sure check the shipping on those shells. your 2 dollar saving will be eaten up real fast

Gander mountain prices are insane, plan to check Dicks sporting goods tomorrow.
